ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton went on the attack against President Bush in a speech Sunday, accusing him of damaging the economy by overspending while giving tax cuts to the rich.

Sweetie, we got a tax cut and we ain't rich.

I'd also be willing to bet, Hillie, that Mr. Mew and I pay a larger percentage of our income in taxes than you and your hubby do.

She said the United States should remain in Iraq until peace can be maintained by the Iraqi people, saying the mission was part of the "long struggle against terrorism" by the U.S.

Nice to see that she agrees whole-heartedly with the Bush doctrine....while a candidate. I'm sure that she would screw over Iraq as soon as she's elected though and appease every terrorist group in the world.

Between her and Howard Dean they are the gifts that keep on giving. File another one away in the archives to be used in a campaign commercial against the Tax raiser Clinton. Those new numbers that the deficit and unemployment are falling must have set her off even more. :)

She would much prefer to methodically redistribute wealth by reaching further into the pockets of the *large* middle class and giving it away to those who are eerily beholden to people like her.

The Democrat from New York also accused Bush of depriving U.S. soldiers of equipment needed to fight the war in Iraq

Does anybody buy the idea that the people in the military will be better armed or equipped under a Hillary regime? I watched her husband-of-convenience disband hundreds of units (including two Special Forces Groups as "obsolete"), scrap billions in equipment, and expend our strategic munitions stockpile on symbolic, headline-seeking strikes. (Hmmm... symbolic, headline-seeking... sounds like Clinton and Osama call from the same playbook). The Clinton crime family called this "the Peace Dividend" with a straight face.

And then, there's the appeasenik "better __fill_in_the-_blank__ than dead" sensibility that comes with weak, flaccid Democratic foreign policy.

Elect Hillary, and we'll be throwing rocks at the terrorists. But we'll be able to reach them with the rocks no problem, because they'll be here.

History shows that the Clintons are in no position to make economic criticism, since Clinton demonstrated his abysmal economic ineptitude by inheriting a growing economy and leaving office with an economy virtually in recession.

During the election cycle of 1992, George Bush the elder lost his job after Bill Clinton hammered him relentlessly for having caused the “worst economy of the last 50 years.”

In fact, as CNN’s Brooke Jackson has reported: “Three days before Christmas 1992, the National Bureau of Economic Research finally issued its official proclamation that the recession had ended 21 months earlier. What became the longest boom in U.S. history actually began nearly two years before Clinton took office.”

This last sentence is particularly telling, since public perception is that Clinton inherited a bad economy and saved it by raising taxes during his first term – something thatI don’t believe is ever possible.

Clinton spin doctors have created the impression that he had a stellar economic record during his own presidency, in spite of the fact that the economy was already starting to decline during the last year of his term after the stock market crashed in March 2000.

According to a report by MSNBC: “The longest economic expansion in U.S. history faltered so much in the summer of 2000 that business output actually contracted for one quarter, the government said Wednesday in releasing a comprehensive revision of the gross domestic product. Based on new data, the Commerce Department said that the GDP — the country’s total output of goods and services — shrank by 0.5 percent at an annual rate in the July-September quarter of 2000.”

Hitlery using class warfare is so lame. Doesn't she know that the country has moved beyond this false issue? Without those tax cuts this country would be in terrible shape because those tax cuts and interest rate cuts by the FED saved this economy after 9/11. I hope she continues to use this in her talking points. Makes her easy pickings with a rebuttal.

"I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman is in charge in Washington," Clinton said, referring to the freckle-faced Mad magazine character.

And sometimes I feel like Ellen DeGeneres is in the senate... referring of course to the unattractive Hollywood dyke character
