To: Protect the Bill of Rights

The laws they have passed for
offenders are so full of loopholes,
you can strain rice through them.

A National Registry will accomplish
nothing......I agree.

For the first time I checked the registery here in Fla. It was a pretty well organized website. You can search by name or a geographic area. I was AMAZED! I realize the databases have limits, but it is also a good idea to inform citizens about how easy it is to access. At least it helps to educate our citizens. Somehow, when you see the actual pictures and info on 81 offenders in a 5 mile radius of your address...it changes the reality of your perspective.

Having said that. Predators are not "curable". And I believe the tide is turning with our citizens that we are no longer naive and so "sympathetic". I still find it difficult to understand why we can not give them a choice...be in jail for life or go to an island somewhere that you can't leave and just deal with that.
