What?? No Barf alert?

Hey lady, it's the libs on the court that upheld this decision!

I did check out DU. Not many references I could find but to their credit they didn't like the ruling at all. I'm sure there were some "blame Bush" comments but I didn't see them.

I also didn't see any comments blaming the liberal court. Mostly I think they're sticking their head in the sand...... Again.

,This is how the Democratic Party can be equally welcoming to the super-rich and the underclass at the same time. They hate the middleclass
It's clear that the Democratic Party gets its money from the rich and its votes from those who are willing to be patronized as "poor." And that the Republican Party gets its votes and its money from the middle class - those who do not wish to patronize anyone or to be patronized by anyone as "poor."

I'd be interested in further amplification of your comments . . .

"Most liberals I know are quite opposed to the takeover of so much of our life by giant and impersonal conglomerates"

Of course they are. Instead, they want the government to take over our lives.

"Hope you enjoy living in a country run by Hillary Clinton. Just keep putting your head in the sand when things don't go your way. Works everytime!"

Yeah, I bought that argument for a long time to. The problem is that when both the Democrat and Republican paths lead to ruin, whats the point in simply taking the longer road? Lets get a real choice available. The only way to do it is with our votes or guns. I prefer the vote and would like to avoid the guns if possible.

"She's chock full a somepin I can't say."

Yes, the flaws in her thinking are obvious. My point is is that if we keep following the Republicans when even most liberals have a problem with whats going on, were in trouble. I say again, WHERE IS THE REPUBLICAN OUTRAGE IN CONGRESS ON THIS DECISION! WHERE IS GEORGE BUSH!

Oh, I get it. The U.S.A, the richest country in the world where the "poor" live better than the well-to-do in most other countries, is in a terrible state. Some liberal judges made a terrible ruling that will hurt the poor...but it's all Bush's fault because this is something conservative judges should have done...because they only care about the rich. Hey, what great logic...NOT!!!

"Are you serious??? We'll that's it!!! I was just barely in the approval column but now I hear that George W. is responsible for my lawn turning brown. That's it...I'm voting third party next time. There is no hope."

Oh please, just keep drinking the Koolaid.

Bush has had, has, and will have the ability to take control of the physical borders. Has he explained why he hasn't done so? Not that I've heard. Bush needs to be taken to task.

This ruling on property rights is an opportunity to bash the 'rats in the Senate and get the public behind him to propose Scalia/Thomas/Renquist types ONLY and ram them through the Senate.

First of all lets step back and try and understand what the liberal is saying.

1. Big business is bad (therefore capitalism is bad and the freedom we enjoy is bad) typical left-wing hate American mongering.

2. Bush is to blame (more big business and multi billionaires support the socialist anti-American democrats that support Conservatives, i.e. Soros, CISCO, Progressive Insurance, Hollywood, the diet food giant, most of the multi billion industries on the west coast just to name a few) Just four of these multi billionaires donated over $75 million to defeat GW in the last election.

3. The Congress or the President can influence the Supreme Court (can not do).

The decisions of the Supreme Court override ALL OTHER LAW. They override Congress, the President, The States and the People.

Unless the Conservatives in Congress get a backbone and ratify judges that will support and defend the Constitution the Republic is (just like Rome) finished.

If, we, the American People are to maintain our freedom, the judiciary and its left-wing lawyers (ACLU, Southern Law Center, and many others) must not be allowed to render the Constitution void.

I still cannot understand why the left wants to destroy our freedoms and bring the country to its knees but then it has happened in the past in other countries so it is not new to history.

I don't believe she is right. The concept of "public good" is far more expanded in the liberal mindset.

Big Business? Funny how "Big Business" seems to increasingly support Liberal/Socialist causes. Mandatory "Get Your Mind Right" seminars for Gay rights, financial support for Liberal/Socialist politicians, Collusion with "Immigrants" who will do jobs that Americans don't want. "Big Business" is people who make decisions. Just like politicians who depend on them for re-election. "If you want your special treatment, elect me and do as I say. OR ELSE!" "I'm Lance Lilly, and if you want our contribution for re-election, you have to think "Rainbow" and "Pink Triangle". Big Business, like Big Government bears close watching.

you wrote: "The decisions of the Supreme Court override ALL OTHER LAW."

this is a common misperception, this thralldom of the us supreme court.

as a matter of simple undisputable fact, the us constitution expressly gives congress the power to pass laws, ANY law or laws, and expressly provide that they are not subject to review by the courts. PERIOD.

yes, the courts are a problem. but the real problem is: 1) a republican congress with no balls or principles, and 2) a republican electorate with no education.

Sorry. I don't drink the Koolaid, but I try to deal with things the way they are, not just the way I WISH they were. I understand that presidents don't make MY priorities, his priorities. I hate the NCLB act. I hate runaway spending. I think the borders are not secure.

But I support him on many, many other things. And I admire him and his courage personally. Blaming this ruling on GWB is just stupid. I am SICK of people rushing to throw our own captain over on every single issue that is different than their own private agenda.

I suppose, I over reacted. But we might as well hand our opponents a grenade and ask them to toss it at us.

I'm guessing this woman wants more liberals like Scalia and Thomas on SCOTUS.

Isn't that great to hear? :-)
