"Makes one wonder how in the hell Kelly Preston could ever fall for him."
Isn't she a scientologist?

Kelly Preston is a big time scientologist. Mimi Rogers turned Tom onto it. And her First husband turned her on to it.

from what I've seen of psychiatry, and psychiatrists, most of them are in the business in search of solving their own problems.
They are screwed up and want to help us.
Read, solve your own problems, as best you can. We used to go to our elders for advice, now we run to therapists, and psychologists. They are human beings that make mistakes and have problems too.

One of my favorite little comedies ("
Bowfinger") takes a pretty hilarious stab at Hollyweird cults. It's definitely worth a watch, if nothing more than to laugh at how decadent and lost these people truly are.

If I am not mistaken, but Greta Van Sustern would be the first to condemn a Christian for using their religious ideas to influence their judiciary practice. Keep an eye open to her statements when the next Justice of the Supreme Court is up for Senate confirmation.
The Scientologist is opposed to Christianity. Thank God this is America where we should allow the free practice of religion for everybody, with no constraints. Just because one is a scientologist, we should still love them and allow them to practice their "religion." However, we have full liberty to critique their philosophy and ideas with all of the power of the pen. Ideas are not flesh and blood and to take personal offense when they are put under the analytical microscope is no more than the downfall of pride.

I don't think Tom is a homosexual. I think that he struggles against worldly vice. He was once a devout enough Catholic to consider priesthood. He will need the Holy Eucharist to console him more than social acceptance (human respect/fame) and another young wife.
When such a man and his dignity/pride are being thrown against the ropes, even amidst his tremendous financial and worldly success, he will be confronted by the worst of demonic attacks (like those wanting him to become a homosexual). These attacks by the homo-erotic crowd and other unchristian groups (like Scientology) may even break his will...
...unless good people pray for him.
