Terri Schindler (Schiavo-I prefer to chop that part off) and her story continues despite wishes of so many that the issue would just go away.

What a wonderful article, and a beautiful way to look at those less fortunate physically.

My only problem with all of it? Being a Christian, it pains me to see anyone so vibrant , so alive, so committed to a cause profess to be an Athiest.

Terri will always stay alive in my memory, and that of many others. She was a devoted Catholic - strong in her Faith in The Lord, according to her family and friends - and I have no reason to doubt that.

However, this beautifully disturbing, activist, advocate woman, could go so much farther,if her heart was pierced by the love of The Lord, and she understood what she was truly fighting for.

Just my two cents.

My heart goes out to her, and all those like her, whom we - the 'able bodied' ones, should fight valiantly for.

May The Lord Bless them, and strengthen us in our fight for them. JK

I just read Silent Witness by Mark Fuhrman. Good book, but I don't understand why he couldn't hold off a few weeks and do a chapter on the autopsy report.
Fuhrman is deeply suspicious of Michael Schiavo and makes no bones about it. There's good reason to be, and he lays it out clearly.
The nurse affidavits are in appendices, as are the bone scan and police report.

I can't say it's a great book, though I will if (in my dreams) it starts a groundswell that leads to an investigation that leads to...at least to Michael Schiavo getting hooked up with a lie detector.
Do I recommend buying it? Yes, definitely. There's plenty in there I didn't know, and I've done a heap of reading on the Schiavo case.

"Silent Witness" - like the previous book about the Kennedy killing - details sloppy law enforcement, among other things. "Silent Witness" is an eye-opening book!!!

There's a chapter on various scenarios that could have happened that fateful night when Terri collapsed. The one that rings the most true to me is that Michael flopped on Terri from behind, knocking the wind out of her, and she couldn't recover enough to get oxygen to the brain.

Fuhrman catches Michael in several lies - never investigated. But there's no statute of limitations on murder. Now that Terri has officially died, a Grand Jury investigation can take place, and a formal investigation can be conducted. No reason why it shouldn't happen . . . unless the politicians wimp out again. After all, Michael himself had the inscription on Terri's gravestone that she died on the day of her collapse. To this day, there is not a plausible explanation of what caused Terri to collapse. She had a yeast infection and a potassium imbalance but WOULD THAT KILL AN OTHERWISE HEALTHY WOMAN?!!

Terri was wanting a divorce; she had discussed it with several people. Michael was a controlling sob; that's all documented. He checked the mileage on her speedometer, etc.

Terri confided in two people that she and Michael had been quarreling the day before her collapse but Michael told law enforcement that there had been no "major" problems. Had there been a thorough investigation at the time of her collapse, their quarreling and the fact that Terri wanted a divorce would have come out. The fight was about Terri dying her hair blonde and about the cost, $80 lousy dollars. Terri was crying and very upset.

Terri was a beautiful woman and it must have caused Michael a lot of grief that she was a blonde; he wanted her to be a brunette. Imagine a man having that much obsession over his wife's hair color! And if my husband ever complained about my spending $80 at the beauty salon, I would be very suspicious that he was a creep from hell!!!

I never knew that Terri was seeing the UPS guy from her work - that he had taken her out to lunch and they had joked around and enjoyed each other's company. Maybe Michael Schiavo found out about that and had a hissy fit. (I am so glad to learn that Terri had a male friend that was sweet to her.)
Michael Schiavo cashed in on a life-insurance policy on Terri while she was still alive. Furthermore, he melted down her jewelry to make jewelry for himself. He had her two cats put to death. Does that sound like the "loving" husband he claimed to be.

After the award money came in, he REALLY BEGAN TO SHOW HIS TRUE COLORS. Being that the Schindler's were trusting, loving Christian types, it caught them by surprise . . . except for Terri's sister Suzanne. She never trust her brother-in-law. You go, girl!! She hired a private investigator to look into Terri's collapse.

After the money came in, Michael became obsessed with getting rid of Terri. Destroy the evidence. He's a pretty crafty dude.

The Schindler's are portrayed in Fuhrman's book as gullible, loving, innocent, naaive people who in the beginning just couldn't believe their son-in-law was capable of such evil. I imagine Laci Peterson's family thought the same - AT FIRST - about Scott.

Michael Schiavo was very lucky to have George Felos for his lead attorney and George Greer for his judge and jury . . . or was he?

This is a great story, but it has NOTHING to do with the Schiavo situation. Nothing.
