So what, if anything, is happening so far today? Just tuned into TVW and looks like housekeeping-type testimony, but very distracted with other stuff so can't really follow.
Christine the Criminal needs to get the boot. But I cannot bear watching, listening to the proceedings. Someone tell me when it's over.
What a picture! Truly scary. I hope that there will be startling revelations come out that will leave no doubt that fraud was committed.
Very good news! However, my sarcastic side figures the dems might have some trick up their sleeves. We know how slimey they are! Afterall, they rule in Kangaroo County where the election tricks and the cover ups are all too common. And if this trial were in King County it would run the risk of being a Kangaroo court and favor would go to GreGore.
BTW - There is an unofficial mandate for Rossi! A large majority of state residents are still calling Rossi the winner. 75% yes for Rossi versus 25% for GreGore.
GreGore IS GreGone!
Excellent point about the report being falsified and not being brought up in court. Could it be that the Republican lawyers are waiting for some reason to bring out this point to make a bigger impact? I hope so, otherwise they are just being stupid.
OK, I am lost again.
Is this false provisional ballot report different than the false report that was talked about in the opening statement from the Rossi lawyer, where he said there was fraud?
I was talking about the Provisional Ballot Summary Report. I didn't hear the opening statements from the Rossi lawyer. Perhaps he was talking about the reconcilation report.
hypothetically, both sides are to lay their evidence out on the table before the trial starts so that they can prepare their case. This includes a depo for verbal evidence.
This is under oath but no judge is present. Then the two parties are to share this with the judge and he/she/it makes a determination what can be included and not. (that is what is going on now - showing motions to keep or strike evidence).
Once that is done, one's case is refined and off to court they go for the trial before jury (or not)
Bump
I think this explains Gary Locke's impassioned request to Rossi to drop the election contest. Sharkansky was right. Locke saw the evidence that had been gathered by the Republicans and had an "oh shit" moment.
Was King County Executive Ron Sims deposed & scheduled to testify? Or is Huennekens & Logan expected to fall on their sword for his excellency Sims?
One of those two will roll like a fat hog. If I were those two, I'd watch closely what I consume and definitely decline any invitations from Sims & company to go fishing.
He sure is in a tight spot.
I just turned on the Webcast and it sounds like Huennekens does not know anything about his job, maybe it's just me.
