I descended through clan McDonald - the geneology is really clear that they were Norwegian descendants. DNA just confirms what geneologist already knew.

First they attacked the Picts and Jutes and Celts. Then they returned a couple of times to attack the new "breed"--which then included the Vikings of the previous attacks. THEN--in 1066--the Viking descendants who'd moved to Normandy arrived on English soil and did some more mixing up.
Those Vikings were prolific.
