If it doesn't tell us who really killed Kennedy then I don't really care. /sarcasm off

what if it's their equivalent of the National Enquirer at that time ? it would be as believable as if 10,000 years from now they found one (Nat. Enq) from present day and realized people worshipped a God named Elvis and he appeared many times after his death, mostly in wedding chapels in Vegas

The great library of Pompeii is also (slowly) yielding up its treasures, as various imaging techniques are being used to decipher the writing on the rolled-up scrolls that were turned into charcoal by the heat of the volcano. Of course, its unlikely that any complete works will be salvaged, but tantalizing excerpts of various writings have already been gleaned (as seen recently on the History Channel).....

... expected to include works by Ovid and Aeschylus, plus a series of Christian gospels which have been lost for up to 2,000 years.

Hopefully not much more than that.

The "technology" is called "making it up". It is popular with several branches of science these days. It was once referred to as a "S.W.A.G.", but we're far beyond that now. /sarcasm

Oxyrhynchus? Isn't that what they use to clean skating rinks? [rimshot!] Thanks for the ping.

Oxyrhynchus
http://www.mnsu.edu/emuseum/prehistory/egypt/archaeology/sites/oxyrhynchus.html

"Greek and Roman sources describe Oxyrhynchus as an important center for the religion of Christianity, with 12 churches, 10,000 monks, and 20,000 nuns according to one 4th century account.  Little remains of the city itself, which is thought to have been destroyed during or after the Arabic invasion around 640 CE.  It was later resettled after a period of dormancy and the city of el-Bahnasa still exists on the original site of Oxyrhynchus.  Located on the Bahr Yusuf, a branch of the Nile which leads to Lake Moeris, Oxyrhynchus is 160 km south of Cairo."

This story is confused. First there was the Ancient Age, then there was the Classical Age. Then there was Rag Time. Then there was the Charleston.

Lost my way, somewhere there.

Nope, but that's what immediately came to my mind as well. "160 km south of Cairo".
