This morning President Bush delivered a powerful and inspiring foreign policy speech at the National Defense University at Fort Lesley J. McNair, regarding the emerging freedom in the Middle East and the overall War on Terror. He also greeted Czech Republic President Vaclav Klause in the Oval Office, discussing regional security and dipolomatic issues.
First Lady Laura Bush, accompanied by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, spoke today at a conference to mark International Women's Day at the State Department, meeting in round table discussions with leaders of 15 Muslim nations to urge women in the Middle East to push for democracy in the region.
This afternoon, President Bush met with former Presidents Bush and Clinton in the Oval Office, welcoming them back from their good will mission to the tsunami victims, and the ex Presidents gave a report on what was accomplished. Laura also spoke at the Helping America's Youth initiative in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this afternoon. A busy day for our First Couple!

That blankey is extra special, too, because a few days after we brought her home from the hospital, my big boy, Jerry Bear (the blonde cutie on my homepage) got a hold of this blanket. And big and strong as he is, I caught him SUCKING on the ear. I mean, he's part pit bull for cryng out loud...he could have eaten it and I never would have found the evidence! But I did have to cut off the ear, since he frayed it pretty good.
So, when Manya gets bigger, I can tell her that Jerry loved her from the first day he saw her, so much that he wanted her blankey to be extra special.
She's getting big fast. I guess they all do.
I also thought it was a good interview thought he had a smile over the Rather question.
Yes, he did, and you could tell. He basically dodged it, weaved some insinuation about how he felt between the lines --just like the consummate politician he is--then gave Bob Schieffer some strokes.
Yeah, sounds like he's going traveling. I wonder if Cheney will call his tour the barnstorming freak tour of Senatorial pornography. I guess that's sort of taken. It's too bad, it would be a great attention-getter!
