This seemed to really happen. Clearly, it didn't. After a few minutes, I snapped into a more awake state of consciousness, and there I was, right behind my eyes, as usual.

Well, did it hurt less when your consciousness descended to your heart? Did you feel good there? Did you feel worse when you went back behind your eyes? Maybe it was more real than you think! At least it sounds like it might have been useful!

I think I was so stunned when the consciousness lowering (as opposed to raising!) seemed to happen, that I was distracted from my pain. But, as I recall (it was a long time ago), the pain returned after a minute or two and terminated the hallucination.

Pain has a way of reminding us that we're living and that the world is real, at least for as long as we're in it.

Good night, all. May we all be safe in our beds from aliens, demons and snakebunnies ;-)
