But has Cher been carbon dated?

He says the relic mangroves show an abrupt rise in the sea level, 20 times faster than previously thought.*cough* Does the name "Noah" ring a bell?

"Material was very much intact, it didn't even have time to fully decompose when it was buried, so it does tell us that when climate change happened at least when it happened in the past it was comparatively quick" Like how quick? 40 days and 40 nights?

Not only do mangroves produce aerial stems from their roots, they also produce a type of aerial root called rhizophores or pneumatophores. These structures can have bark rich in lenticels to function in gas exchange for roots that are constantly in water saturated soil. So exactly what does this imply? Are mangroves better than womangroves? This is a question that must be answered. :O)

"Rapidly" to a geologist doesn't mean the same thing as "rapidly" to you.

Climates change, sometimes rapidly. It would be helpful if the Leftists could be disabused of their ignorance once and for all, but it would probably take another ice age to do that. Then again, they have recently framed their argument so that any evidence of warming or cooling is prima facie cause for blaming the industrialized West. It's now cleverly called "climate change". Kinda-like "heads we win, tails we win". And they are allowed to get away with this crap.

But has Cher been carbon dated? Her brain was traped in amber at age twelve. This is all we really know.

All of the Carbon-14 decayed a long time ago, I've heard they are using Potassium-40 to try and date her.

Dr Dan Alongi from the Australian Institute of Marine Science says they have unearthed 9,000-year-old mangroves in old river channels that were swamped when sea levels rose after the last ice age. Oh, no - global warming! See what those Neolithics did with their SUMs (Sport Utility Mammoths)? What more proof do you want?

Didn't they stop using years for Cher, and are now trying to place her on the Joan Collins Scale. I understand she pegs somewhere between Helen Thomas and Joan Rivers.

"Rapidly" to a geologist doesn't mean the same thing as "rapidly" to you. So true.
To us, "rapidly" is just more evidence of the obvious catostrophy recorded by the fossil record.
To a geologist, "rapidly" is bucking the conventional wisdom of long ages, risking the ire of the militant evo crowd that ridicule and try to fire anyone who doesn't tote their line.

Since there weren't any Republicans around who the heck are they gonna blame that on? On a couple of dead, white males known as Fred and Barney.

Noah was an environmentalist 9,000 years ago. He tried to warn the local tribes about global warming, but they just laughed at him and kept on filling the atmosphere with cow flatulence. Noah proposed they all sign the No-Toe treaty, under the terms of which they would walk everywhere, give up herding, and live Vegan lifestyles. They killed and ate his unicorn, instead.
Noah then took to his yacht the Rainbow Worrier with the surviving animals to which he served as guardian, and left the greedy capitalists to their fate. ;)
