By Your eternal priesthood,

By that same sacrifice renewed daily upon the altar,
By that divine power which You invisibly exercise in Your priests,

Deign to conserve the whole priestly order in holy religion, * We beseech You, hear us
Deign to provide Your people with pastors after Your own heart,
Deign to fill them with the spirit of Your priesthood,
Grant that the lips of the priests might preserve true knowledge,
Deign to send faithful workers into Your harvest,
Deign to multiply the faithful ministers of Your Mysteries,
Grant that they religiously persevere in the service of Your will,
Grant them meekness in the ministry, shrewdness in action, and constancy in prayer,
Grant that the cult of the Most Blessed Sacrament be promoted everywhere by them,
Deign to receive those who served You well into Your joy,

0 God, Sanctifier and Protector of Your Church, raise up in her through Your Spirit fitting and faithful administrators of the Holy Mysteries, so that through their ministry and example the Christian people may be led under Your protection along the way of salvation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
0 God, Who, while the disciples were worshiping and fasting, ordered Saul and Barnabas to be set apart for the work to which You had called them, be present now to Your Church in prayer, and You, Who know the hearts of all, indicate those whom You have chosen for ministry.
