Their new list, version 2.0 is now up.
It says why all the blue companies are "good democrats". It also lists the "red companies" and the summaries tell us why and how they were rated.
because we're all ignorant RED necks....
I get a boycott list and Dems do all the work. A perfect world.
I love how they are glomming on to "blue". Blue 'Rat dots show up better in a field of red, than red 'Rat dots on a filed of blue.
I feel good, I'm a GEICO Gecko. (Gordon Gecko???)
Because they are no where near as smart as they think they are. Guess I'm not going to be staying in Marriotts from now on instead of Hiltons.
It's like shooting fish in a barrel. ;O)
Bluest Companies
That's pretty handy....
I love this.
You have to watch some of those ratings.
I was suprised (and worried) that my kid's favorite Sonic DriveIn was listed as 100% blue. However, when I looked to see who they had donated to, it was------- NOBODY!!!
No Dems, No Pubs they just did not get involved in politics. But they gave them a 100% blue rating, saying that not donating was a "Blue" trait. Sounds goofy to me, but then again, consider the source....

I was shocked that Target had a red symbol
No wonder that there commercials are the most annoyingly stupid on TV today.
there = their
By some coincidence, my family never shopped at the blue companies anyway. we won't have to change our shopping habits at all.
I just emailed them the following and as I type this am waiting for a Geico callback.
Thanks for giving me access to this data. I did not know that Progressive Insurance was so blue.
I am calling to switch over to Geico right after this email!
I am not kidding, thanks for the info and I will be sure to tell my agent at Progressive why I am taking my commercial account from them. Heck I'll just give her the link to this site.
Oh, goodie, I can shop the list and buy red.
Fraud is just such a complete part of these people's lives. I think it has to do with the fact that they've never grown up emotionally.
They rate companies with the same standard they wish to use in counting votes. If a company, Sonic Drive-Ins for example, does not show any political activity, they rate it as being blue.
What losers.
I totally agree, it is pathetic.
Here's my philosophy: I try not to let politics interfere with making rational decisions as a consumer, except in extreme cases. For instance, if Google gives me the best search results, I use Google.
Borders currently has a 100% BuyBlue rating due to lack of political contributions for the 2003-2004 election cycle. BuyBlue believes that lack of political contributions is a "blue" value as well because it shows a company is in business to do business and not influence the political landscape. It is tough to stay out of the politics game when your competitors are busy spending their money buying influence with one side or the other. On our rating scale that lands Borders the highest rating.Just damn!
Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
