Qumran In Context:
Reassessing The Archaeological Evidence
by Yizhar Hirschfeld
Innocents Abroad
Sam Clemens / Mark Twain
Chapter LIV
http://www.mtwain.com/Innocents_Abroad/55.html
"I can not speak now of the Mount of Olives or its view of Jerusalem, the
Dead Sea and the mountains of Moab; nor of the Damascus Gate or the tree
that was planted by King Godfrey of Jerusalem. One ought to feel
pleasantly when he talks of these things. I can not say any thing about
the stone column that projects over Jehoshaphat from the Temple wall like
a cannon, except that the Moslems believe Mahomet will sit astride of it
when he comes to judge the world. It is a pity he could not judge it
from some roost of his own in Mecca, without trespassing on our holy
ground."
Proverbs 26:2
"Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow,
an undeserved curse does not come to rest."
Or...
Anti-Semitism by proxy.
Anti-Semitism on the cheap.
Anti-Semitism for the timid.
--Boot Hill
The parchment on which the curse was written and the package in which it was found.
EXTINCT Nations....geez, if I believed in a god who allowed his people to become extinct, and who, despite our pleas, allowed our enemies to constantly win and be blessed.... I think my brain might begin to kick in and I might realise that my "god" was not THE almighty God!
Indeed! Islam is as Islam does.
The "Palestinians" are NOT related to Abraham, as far as I know. Aren't they descended from the Philistines? Who were around when Abraham came to the land. (See Gen. 21)
I believe that Abraham was born in what is now Iraq.
Yet, Abraham had many sons with his wife, Keturah. Midian was one. Remember, Moses married a Midianite.....
I don't know what it all means!
Do you suppose this author does not believe that Palestinians descended from Eve?
Did it ask God to curse or did it ask Allah?
"It is all about lineage, isn't it? The descendants of Abraham whom G*d declared to be the inheritors of great things must, of needs, be despised by those who find themselves the ancestors of one called a wild ass of a man. Being thus shamed in their hurt pride, does it not follow that the followers if Islam have sought to wrest away the priestly line and declare themselves the favorite of the Almighty?"
Absolultely. I was like this in Biblical times between Israel and her enemies; what is going on now is the lastest in a very ancient conflict. Isaac, the son of the convenant vs. Ishmael, the one the Lord said would be a wild ass of a man, with his hand against every man and every man's hand against him. That part of Genesis could have been written in any non-rad-lefty newspaper.
"But it has been stated that Pride goes before a comeuppance."
Yes indeed! It is written in the Psalms that whoever touches Israel touches the Apple of the Lord's Eye!
Lmao
Now all we need is dan blather and a Kinkos !
True, that.........but only after ensuring they weren't in THEIR yard. :)

Hi.
Help me here, didn’t Ariel Sharon die a few years ago?
I guess it’s possible to curse someone before they are born.

That particular one was made in modern times, y’know, as modern as Paleostinians get.
