That's right! I was kidding! As a matter of fact, Kerry did take marching orders from the communist party, and is the most radical left person in the entire senate.

I don't understand why the other side can't (or refuses to) see that we are the way we are because we choose to be. We are decent, intelligent, God-fearing people who live in a country that was founded to protect us from that same social and, more importantly, religious rancor that they are currently hurling our way today.

We *don't* want this country to evolve away from God; we *don't* want abortion, homosexuality, drug use, divorce, etc, etc to become the acceptable 'norm'; and we *don't* want our Bibles re-written so as to be more politically correct.

We choose the hard road that God put before us. We see the reward promised at the end. We opt to take steps in that direction. And, there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, it is very right.

Having the other side attempt to deny this to us, or feel the need to educate and evolve us, amazes me. It's like the Serpent in the Garden trying to convince us that the fruit is good and will bring us knowledge.

Thank God we stood up and were counted. Thank God!

Thank you fellow FReepers. I think that forums such as these have contributed to the groundswell of support for traditional family value candidates. It's nice to know you're not the only one

Whew! Sorry, but wasn't sure. Use an emoticon! :>)

I agree with you 100% - I spent a lot of time having fun on the Communists for Kerry website and much of the time I found that much of the sentiment was more true than parodic.

All the comments from the homo lobby are that they feel 'disenfranchised'.

Why should they care whether they can vote if they can get the judiciary to impose their agenda by fiat?

Good points. I basically coined a phrase "Holland on Steroids" to describe what the lefties want. Basically they want to turn the US into "Holland on Steroids" and if they don't they either get violent, go to court or just plain whine like a bad alternator bearing under the hood. I certainly don't want but for those who do, well there is a place to go, Holland! If not there, there are other places almost like it.

"The Boston Phoenix is a good read if you like to peruse personal ads or require the services of an escort agency!"

Sounds a lot like "The Stranger," Seattle's Bible for every pimple-assed, pierced-lipped, Michael Moore worshipper. These sullen zombies will walk right through you if you don't watch out for yourself.

But for Massachusetts’s urban, educated class — the folks who work in medicine, higher education, or technology, live in or near the city, and value diversity — what happened on Election Day was a terrible blow...

As if no one else outside of MA cities is educated, or works in med, higher ed, or tech!

By the way this rag is owned by the husband of ex-Judge Maria Lopez, who presided over the notorious case of a transvestite (on welfare, I believe, living in a housing project) who held a screwdriver to the throat of a 12 year old boy while demanding sex. She was blatantly on the perp's side. Ever seen the video of her shouting down the prosecutor in court? Her antics got her fired.

Reminds me of the last election where we were willing to take up a collection just to see some of them hop on the plane out of here. I bear them no malice. In fact I hope they stay, close their mouths, and open their ears. They might find the better way. But for those who just want to stir things up and poison the minds around them, I'm with you. I will happily contribute to their airfare.

Wrote them. Don't feel like retyping, so here's my thoughts as sent to the editor.

"Dear Editor/Staff/Whoever,

I love the crisp, burnt odor of ozone after lightning strikes, don't you?

The hand-wringing, self-approbation, and downright good, humorous depressive states that you're exhibiting are exactly what you had coming.

I just read the article "Blue in a Red America". Was astonished by the lack of depth. A couple of quotes, to illustrate.

The "...primitive religious uprising..."! What smarmy, ill-informed crap.

"Thus we have Bush creating his own reality — a faith-based war for which tens of thousands of human beings have paid in actual blood. And those of us in the reality-based community are left to look on in horror."

What condescending pap. Do you have any inkling of why your brand of elitist, more-intellectual-than-thou religious fervor alienates the masses of America, let alone bore your friends? Were you to answer that question honestly, you might begin to approach a 'reality base' to your philosophical approach.

But, obviously, for you this has absolutely no resonance.

As one who likes words, I'm intrigued by your self-serving definition of "primitive." Primitive, in Oscar Wilde's time, were those who exercised no control over their base instincts, seekers of an unlimited licentiousness, libertine in nature, completely unwilling to voluntarily enter into 'civilized', genteel society.

Even Wilde understood that license for everything is liberty for nothing.

But, wait... I'm just one of those unlearned, bucktoothed, illiterate hayseeds, aren't I? You haven't figured it out, yet, have you?"

I know, I was one of those who would have been willing to chip in back in 2000, I remember the discussion very well. Well, money is a little tight at my end for now, but if I can chip in a few pennies, maybe we can get them on a boat or something. Well, Cuba is 90 miles from Florida so we can start them off at least. I just get tired of their shenanigans. I remember one lefty took me to task for "moving to Holland" or wherever, they said, "well, we got family here." I said, "well, then, you've got some soul searching to do then and have to weigh your options."
