I don't want to be part of Canada either. Just because Minneapolis & Duluth went heavily for Kerry, doesn't mean the rest of us in gopherland want to join the Canadian socialists. Besides, the map is not accurate. To be more reflective of the situation, they should include Alberta in the US of Texas (after all they have oil too!).

If memory serves, around 1998 a group of 200 Canadian experts met to discuss the issue of the Canada merging with the USA. They concluded that it was inevitable within the next 100 to 150 years. Part of their reasoning was the fact of Canada's ecconomy being so intermixed with the USA's ecconomy. (IOW Canada is a wholy owned subsidiary of USA, inc.)
