Welcome home, Tonk, and to all of our Vietnam Veterans!

Mission accomplished.

Thank you for continuing to serve, for passing on the lessons learned and lived, for not giving up the fight in the face of persecution, and for the courage to love your brothers - for being there to protect, defend, and lead the ones who are following in your noble footsteps today.

So, who do Republicans have to thank?

 ...
the U.S. military, for sweeping victories in Afghanistan and the conquest of Baghdad, and unflinching resolve to triumph in Iraq. Terrorists throughout that country are deeply dismayed at this hour.

The Swift Boat Vets...for their courage and their persistence.

The blogosphere helped keep Dan Rather and his gang in check, as did citizen activists at places like FreeRepublic.com...
(- Hugh Hewitt. Thanks for the post,Valin.)

America threw you and your fellow Veterans a ticker-tape parade last night, Tonkin.

Hoo ah, and thank you, Jim Robinson, Free Republic! God bless Freepers, every one!

FREEDOM FLIES IN YOUR HEART LIKE AN EAGLE

Dusty old helmet, rusty old gun,
They sit in the corner and wait -
Two souvenirs of the Second World War
That have withstood the time, and the hate.
Mute witness to a time of much trouble.
Where kill or be killed was the law -
Were these implements used with high honor?
What was the glory they saw?
Many times I've wanted to ask them -
And now that we're here all alone,
Relics all three of a long ago war -
Where has freedom gone?
Freedom flies in your heart like an eagle.
Let it soar with the winds high above
Among the spirits of soldiers now sleeping,
Guard it with care and with love.
I salute my old friends in the corner,
I agree with all they have said -
And if the moment of truth comes tomorrow,
I'll be free, or By God, I'll be dead!

I can't even put into words how much I love Free Republic, this wonderful Home you have given us. I was a daily lurker for two years before I even signed up, so I've been joined in spirit with you and this awesome place for all that time. I can only keep you in my prayers, and offer my utmost thanks for all you have done, Jim Rob, and you also, Tonk! Thank You, thank you for everything you have both done for our Country! God Bless you both always!

No word at ALL from Ragtime Cowgirl since her post here 11/3/04. Just pinging those who she pinged here that I could see. I miss seeing her positive posts she always pinged me to. Not a trace since 11/3/04.

MIA? Should we worry?
