Texas race for U.S. House District 19
196 of 394 precincts - 50 percent
x- Randy Neugebauer (i) Rep 104,041 - 58 percent
Charlie Stenholm (i) Dem 72,806 - 41 percent
Richard Peterson Lib 2,494 - 1 percent
Oh that is so excellent!!!
Good! Chuck is such a pandering poltroon. I was getting really sick of his radio ads.
Adios, Mr. Stenholm! (Around here we call him Beevus - remarkable resemblance!)
Naugebauer's a good man. Very conservative. But I respect Stenholm. He is pro-life and pro-family, which I'm sure made him an outcast in the Democrat Party. Never one to cut spending though.
Nick Lampson, TX-2, just conceded... Ted Poe wins.. Thats 2.
That Delay stratergy is working.

Agree to a point...he could have followed his convictions and left the RAT party but chose to hang in with them...
frost was defeated too
i think it is +7 in texas alone!
Yes, Stenholm was defeated...and now he leads the list of President Bush's potential picks for Secretary of Agriculture.
Stenholm, a family friend of mine, is a conservative Democrat from Texas...who happens to be out of a job at just the moment that President Bush needs a Democrat to show the world that he is "reaching out" to the rest of America.
It's brilliant. Stenholm will jump at the offer if he gets it, and he's almost always voted our way in the past, anyway.
Lets face it, appointing strongly conservative Democrats makes sense.
Zell Miller, is your phone ringing, too?!
