"But it was a bigger burgerBurger King, in factthat lobbed the biggest grenade at Sinclair. The fast-food giant announced that it was withdrawing all its ads from all Sinclair stations all day on the date the weapon is broadcastnow scheduled for Friday, October 22."

I think everything you said is BS.
That's nice. Pleased to meet you as well. I love your specificity....I find that very refreshing in a poster.
I think everything you posted regarding your opinion of what we will see during Sinclair's broadcast of POW Politics and Media Pressure,on Friday at 8pm.. is BS.
That more specific?
I have to disagree. Sinclair is running its program commercial-free, so no advertiser is going to be "tainted" because they run an ad during the usual "Simpsons" rerun five hours earlier. By pulling their ads off unrelated programs, even if only for one day, they are siding with the political left.
Bet the KETCHUP people put the screws to Burger King, huh?
This isn't really possible. The Swifties are buying ads on individual stations in swing states. Budweiser's MNF ads are part of the ABC network feed. (The network and the affiliates split the commercial time; the network sells some slots, and each affiliate gets to sell some slots, and each side keeps their profits.)
I mean, I suppose it's theoretically possible for Bud to try to buy up every single available slot from all battleground state ABC affiliates on Monday night, but I can't imagine why they would want to do so. And there is no way at all they could do it without the entire world finding out about it.
Shooting themselves in the foot. That's pretty stupid to pull advertising for a whole day. That tells me a lot about Burger King's top management that I didn't know before....
OHhhhhhhhh Burger King just made the wrong MOVE!!!!!!!!!!
I agree BK made the wrong move. The only reason I've eaten there in the last few years is when my kids want Mickey D's and it's too crowded. BK is right across the street, and strangely, the lot is always full of places to park.
So we go there sometimes for convenience. But my kids are outgrowing Mickey D's and BK anyway now. But this makes it a cinch I won't be tempted to let convenience lure me into their lot again.
Make Burger Kings decision painful.
Lets all bump to keep this up for others to see and join in the phone calls and boycott.
Don't forget to send to all in your addy folders, recommend they join in boycott calls and send on likewise.
Our family has eaten its last Whopper.
I just left them a message and the person taking it did not sound very happy...
We've been screwed, and you will see.
Time will tell. I think Kerry and the Libs have been screwed.. but we shall see...
Deal.
Caveat: I cannot see the show. No Sinclair "The cavers" stations in my market.
They are playing it on two( perhaps three) stations in my market.. I will watch it twice. Once for you and once for me! ;}
They don't know that.

Good points. But I think BK is more interested in making $$ than in making enemies & they were probably catching heat from the left for advertising on Sinclair stations so they threw the left a very small bone.
