I just read in the paper that the local police arrested two teenagers from a town about twenty miles away with a car filled with Bush and other Republican candidates signs. The arrest happened last Saturday night. Their court date is October 28th. I will be taking the day off from work to hopefully see justice done!!
Theft of our Bush Yard Signs!! Self | 09/30/2004 | Kevin Carne

Two weeks ago our Bush yard signs where proudly surrounding the front yard. Over the last week the have been mysteriously disappearing. Has this happened to anyone else out there in Freepland? The Kerry guys must be getting desperate. More signs have been ordered!!
Integrity. Integrity. Integrity.
My 4 signs Bush-Cheney signs were stolen Sunday night. I reported the theft to the police. (The policeman who took the report told me he had his own Bush lawn sign.)
Monday night, my 4 replacement signs were stolen. I called the police. My fellow county committeman down the street told me HIS sign was stolen.
I'm in Bergen County, NJ. I gave my nephew in Silver Spring, MD several lawn signs, and HIS were stolen within a few days.
What a strange coincidence! :)
Last night, I sat outside watching my signs in the middle of the night. They were not stolen this time. I live around the corner from a police station, and I'm determined to catch them if they try to do it again, taking special precautions.
If I hear of one more sign being stolen in my town, I'm going to make sure there is an article in the local paper about it.
Motion-activated sprinklers
Ours disappeared about a week ago, along with the neighbor's down the street. LOL--both of us had saved them from 2000 and were proud to have the "old" signs out. The Kerry signs are intact. At least they left our flags and yellow ribbons alone. We'll see our Marine son tomorrow!!!! (just back from Iraq)
It was suggested on another post two days ago that WD-40 can remove the spray paint. I tried it and it does, but you must be careful not to use too much/rub too hard, it will run the ink. I would go ahead and wash it afterward, maybe. Can't hurt.
Thick double sided sticky tape will work. Also, at Home Depot or Auto parts places and Electrical suppliers, you can get these little plastic squares that have a very strong adhesive on one side and slots for nylon zip straps on the other. They are used to anchor wiring and are handy as a shirt pocket.
Well I'm in AUSTIN, TX. and our Bush sign is STILL in the front yard also. The only sKerry sign in the neighborhood is in the window of a house around the corner. He is afraid to put it out. Says our HOA doesn't allow it. But it does and he is too stupid to read the bylaws.
I think we should get this classified as a hate crime!!
"Why would Kerry waste resources in Texas where Bush is ahead by 30 points?"
A final act of defiance in the face of certain destruction...(searched for the poster but couldn't find it)
There seems to have been an organized effort in my area last night. They got mine and my neighbor's, and several people came in to get new signs because theirs were stolen overnight (including a couple of people who lost the big 4x8s).
Those people might have bought their yard signs themselves.
Anyone need to renew your car tags soon? Hou about a vanity plate that says "IM4W".
Much better than drilling holes.
These two idiots can thank the DNC for making them believe the BS about a draft. Albeit the little wusses were worried about doing time with Uncle Sam now they'll do time with chester the molester in the pokie if justice prevails.....at least 90 days yer honor !
I usually go on a long bike ride through some of the neighborhoods around mine. Yesterday I noticed a Bush sign up in the yard of one of the houses on the ride, this morning it was gone. Also missing were the outdoor/walkway lights that were in front of the house but had been ripped out and shattered in the middle of the road. Pretty ugly for this area, but given the Dimmy mentality I'm not surprised.
If they are juveniles, the court proceeding will probably be closed to the public. If they are treated as adults, the proceeding may be a two minuted recitation of the charges and an entry of a plea of not guilty.
You might want to check as to what is really going to happen before you waste a day.
They are 18 and their names where posted in the police log....I would say safe to go.
Keep us up-to-date on this.
