Anyone have a theory as to why Straudt has kept quiet this whole time? He won't return calls from reporters.

He's a cranky curmudgeon (based on the way he snarled at the reporter who wanted a comment) who has no desire to be sucked into this mess, would be my guess. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't want to go on record one way or another and have his own reputation discussed.

I can't say I blame him.

Did the reporter play audio or video of that....or is that just the reporter's description.

Trust no reporter. I have spent quite a bit of time in NB, Texas. He has a rep as an honorable man.
