And Rather will be cheated out of his "Walter Conkrite" moment by declaring the Iraqi War lost after their 'Tet'.
On Drudge:
Statement by the President of CBS News, Andrew Heyward:
"We established to our satisfaction that the memos were accurate or we would not have put them on television. There was a great deal of coroborating [sic] evidence from people in a position to know. Having said that, given all the questions about them, we believe we should redouble our efforts to answer those questions, so that's what we are doing."
Clintonian phraseology for "Hey, the memos may be forgeries but the story is true. Please forget about the fact that the whole reason this old story was supposed to be news was because of the new (very, very new) memos."
Now, there's a low threshold, huh?
Waiting all day and THIS is the gunk they come out with? Unbelievable!
What a load of horse dookie! I can smell it all the way down here in Texas.
Quite possible. If I remember right, he went to Alabama in May and his physical wasn't due until after that. Also, I remember that the Alabama Guard unit flew the F-101 Voodoo -- just because you can fly a F-102 like Bush did doesn't mean you can just jump into a different aircraft type and take off. There is a long training time after pilot training to learn your aircraft type.
What you suggest about postponing the physical is quite possible?
Bump
CBS has damaged its image already, every moment this charade goes on only smears their image a little more. Who's making the decisions over there anyway?
