CBS wanted a second opinion after their in-house legal beagles informed of the potential ramifications of Fraud with Intent to Influence a Presidential Election.

The reality is they have achieved what they set out to do - They changed the subject. It is now all about Pres. Bush's military service and not Kerry's.

Wrong. The story is about lying and cheating, and using the MSM to make false allegations which they themselves know to be false. This entire story breaks Bush's way, and against Kerry and the DNC, because the electorate sees it as dirty-tricks politics. The story stopped being about the TANG thanks to FR and others, and has been about nothing but Rather and CBS's stonewalling since.

Yep, even in Holland there are those who are morbidly curious by now.

No, I think the sad tag team match between some very over the hill newsmen has not finished up yet.

Your fortunate to be cubicle bound and not have to endure Fox News Alerts seemingly every other minute to announce the hurricane. Their Alerts are becoming old and before too long people will begin to ignore them.

A delay this long has a cause. Wonder what it is?

I find the timing of this delay to be suspicious.

Yes, refreshing it over and over and over. But I'm not in my jammies. Comfy sweats and tee shirt, my usual pj's by the way. I do have my fuzzy slippers on. Got Rush streaming live and Fox over my shoulder. Getting whiplash from turning my head each time the Fox News alert music comes on.

It's funny to think about how many thousands of people are sitting somewhere right now refreshing this page.

No kidding! There is about a 10 sec. delay in server response right now. I have a broadband connection, and usually there is no delay.

Why would CBS announce that a statement "was coming....?"..Instead, just send it when it's ready...this just makes it worse..

Must be a bunch. Even with my superfast SBC/Yahoo DSL and P4 2.8 Ghz, my posts are s--l--o--w.

Dan Rather and one of his flunkies called US "partisan political operatives in pajamas."

Personally, I'm proud to be a PPOIP!

Being a PPOIP is much cleaner than my characterization of Dan Rather since TSHTF and cBS is pooping in their BVDs.

Consider Rather and his operatives as PPOID...."Partisan political operatives in diapers."

Bad move by CBS. It was one thing when she was on the edges of the storm..just one more voice echoing the pack that the memos are forgeries but if they yank her into the eye of the storm she will be torn to pieces and discredited for her obvious partisan bias and constantly shifting story by the end of the day.

I agree. The National Guard story is old and already discounted in the public mind. The only reason it was raised from the dead was because of the new (really new) memos. The story is about the memos now.
