Spanish jail wing 'run by inmates' [Train bombers]

Moroccan Muslims, including suspects in the Madrid train bombings, are running the Spanish jail in which they are held on their own terms, according to reports. Dawn calls to prayer by a muezzin, attempts to avoid female staff and the conversion of a reading room into a prayer room have all provoked confrontations at Topas prison near Salamanca, according to prison officers quoted by El Mundo newspaper yesterday.

The jail houses more than 100 Moroccans, some held after the bombings in March that killed 190 people.

El Mundo reported that Muslims were concentrated on one wing, and alleged that radicals forced others to pray several times a day.

"The wing is theirs. The authorities have had no choice but to accept their demands," said one officer anonymously. "The influence of groups like these over the prisoners is great," said José Ramón López, president of the prison officers' union.

A prisons spokesman denied to the Guardian that there was any problem at the jail. "The right to practise religion is being respected," he said. "That is an obligation spelled out in the Spanish constitution."

El Mundo claimed one prisoner had threatened a jailer and his family, saying: "We are going to win the holy war." Photos of Osama bin Laden were on cell walls, it added

During WWII, nazis were bombed and shot, in and out of uniform. All were considered enemy by their silent and active support. Nazis by definition were an evil attempting to take over the world, even the civilians.
Islam is no different. Those who would say it is, or who would attempt to say there are "moderate islamics" are as ignorant as anyone who would have said "Not all Nazis are bad. Not all Nazis want to take over the world."

Today, we know by their OWN admission what the islamics want to do, as well as by their actions, and inactions...and your impotent apologising can not change the truth. You are part of the problem.

Terrorists are not individuals who would have rights under the Constitution. They are MEMBERS of a group..like the nazis..who are sworn to the destruction of Christians Jews and nation states...every one who isn't Muslim..WORLDWIDE! Instead we treat them with judges and bails and red tape, placing more importance on their rights, than on OUR SURVIVAL.

A GROUP of people, whose declared objective is the destruction of the civilized world in favor of their own totalitarian control, is not worthy of "rights" under our Constitution. They are enemy combatants. This is a war. Its fighters should be treated as enemies of humanity, not petty criminals.
