Lost something like $30 million when the price of her company's stock dropped.

Paper losses are not real until you sell the stock. I suppose that if you invested $100 in a stock and it went up to $100,000 the next day and then dropped back to $100 a day later you would say that you lost $99,900?

They were not paper losses. She recently sold a large block of her stock at a price that was much lower than the price two years ago.
