I once managed a plant where we beat the Koreans and then the Chinese on price producing valves using American castings.
We raised gross manufacturing profit from 35% to 49% while simultaneously rasing wages 25%.
Everybody won, and nobody had to work for 20 cents an hour.
On the program I'm currently working on, we quoted 1 Korean, 1 Taiwanese, 1 Japanese, and several US suppliers. One of the US suppliers beat out everyone else, and got the business.

Are they still in business? You know paying a living wage and making a profit is not good business, according to the free-traitors. You must outsource so you can make a tremendous profit.
Not many valve manufacturers left in the US. I know, I used to buy many of them.
Are you sure they are American castings? Many so called American ones were made in Korea and then imported as basic materials, then a final touchup grinding applied here, prior to assembly with parts parts from various countries.
