I have found that it is a trait shared by women who had 1. A mentally abusive relationship with their father and 2. Refuse to take control of their life and say, "I'm gonna have a good day". In otherwords hopeless victim mindset.
A woman is better off to have an absent father than an abusive one. I have done extensive research on this within the bounds of working with people I know who fit the profile.
My daughter and I have always had a great relationship and she is very happy. Laura Earl and her dad get along great and she is a happy person.
My advice to all young men is to ask a new girlfriend, "How is your dad?" If she says he is a @#@)(*WJK. Run Away.

Applies to relationships with step-parents as well, or people who were molested.
*odd random prescient statement by me for the day, I shall now get back to being less serious and more humorous.

You guys don't have the brane of a white dwarf. "The Universe; love it or leave it!"
(I forgot who posted this the other day, but it's worthy of credit, whomever you are.)

Right. Lisa Randall: Professor of Physics PhD 1987, Harvard University. I think I'd enjoy a game of "Hide the Eigenvector" with her over a bottle of sparkling wine...

I think I'd enjoy a game of "Hide the Eigenvector" with her ... I'm thinking more of a demonstration of quantum entanglement. (That "universe" line was mine, by the way.)

I'm thinking more of a demonstration of quantum entanglement. Nay!
Quantum entanglement is "action at a distance" -- and the objective is to get up close and personal! It's "Hide my Eigenvector," or bust, I say!
To: longshadow
Quantum entanglement is "action at a distance" Yes, but first the quanta have to get in sync. Then, upon separation, they remain in communication. So I thought at first we'd sync up, as a prelude to the grand experiment.

This thread didn't exactly turn out the way I expected.

All times exist simultaneously -- Flow is illusion.
Indeed, relativity runs counter to that everyday perception, since observers at widely different locations and speeds will disagree on what is happening "now." Greene leans toward the view that time's flow is a function of the human mind rather than of fundamental physics. But he notes, sensibly, that our understanding of this matter may be far from complete.

At 29 I had a 3 year old daughter and a 19 month old son. I had a house, 2 cars, a stay at home wife, a full time job and was going to college 2 nights a week. At 50 I have a 24.5 year old daughter with a BS degree, a career, and she's married. A 23 year old son with his masters degree and career that starts next month. An ex-wife who got the house. A new wife, a house, a truck, a car, a boat, a dog and a cat. I act 16 and look 45. You gotta get rid of the cat.

Heh, one would think, but I think my personal, uh, best, is more like twelve. :’) I have spent WAY too much of my time these past ten years foolin’ around on FR.
