A combined effort between Freepers and Protest Warriors was a MAJOR success today in Richmond, Virginia!!
A.N.S.W.E.R. and local socialist sympathizers (IndyMedia) were taken by surprise by a joint operation called "Lightning Bolt". What was supposed to be a HUGE Anti- Bush, Anti-War, Anti-America, Anti-Everything rally, turned out to be nothing more than maybe 200 - 300 hundred of the "usual" suspects. In other words, the un-washed, and the un-employable !! There seemed to be more police than protestors, even though, as an inducement to swell the crowd of protestors, they advertised "Free Food". As the Freepers and Protest Warriors lined Belvidere and Franklin Streets with signs and flags, motorists started beeping their car horns and giving us the "thumbs-up". This did not please the socialists and anarchists. Nor did the fact that we received a large amount of media attention. Several Freepers and Protest Warriors were interviewed by 2 local television stations, and 2 local reporters for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Not "one" American flag was seen in the march, BUT......a large "United Nations" flag was proudly hoisted in the middle of the marchers. This will come as no surprise to Freepers, but it is nonetheless disheartening to see people who would rather carry a U.N. flag in place of an American flag.
We were all thrilled at the reception of the local residents who supported our efforts, but the entire day was justified when a young man, who was out riding his bicycle, stopped to thank us for supporting the troops. He was a former Marine, and he just wanted us to know how much our support meant to him.
It was a good day......a VERY good day !!
I think the "Workers World" party thinks of me more of a pain in their *ss. At least I hope so !! What an honor!!

Someone named (("Learn to count, sh*thead") posted that they were full of crap, and I wrote my own review agreeing with that someone ("Learn to count, sh*thead"). The funny part is that they keep deleting my post! LOL

know there was not 1000 people in your ANTI-AMERICA march because I was
there the whole time! The police that I spoke to said 250 or 300. I will say

Not only did many of you show your true colors by chanting "hey, hey, ho,
ho, the U.S. HAS GOT TO GO" and , "hey, hey, ho, ho, Bush HAS GOT TO GO",
but you also stooped to new lows by waving the U.N flag! What is wrong with
the American Flag? This country serves you well, and all you do is spit on
it for your own hate agenda. If you people hate the U.S. so much then please
feel free to swim to Cuba, or fly to France for all I care, but stop your
hate marches here, unless you want people to keep laughing at you like
today! Yes, you guys looked, and sounded like such a joke today that the
police, media, people in their cars, and we counter-protesters laughed at
you all day!
As for the troops, you can stop pretending to support them. If you don't
support them fully, and support their mission then keep your mouth shut! The
things you guys shouted at us today about American soldiers being baby
killers is not only a lie, but treasonous as well. YOUR ACTIONS TODAY WILL
DO NOTHING, BUT CAUSE OUR TROOPS THIER LIVES BY EMPOWERING TERRORISTS WITH
YOUR HATE.
I just pray the news media has the guts to play all of your pathetic rants
on the news tonight for everyone to hear. All of you should be ashamed of
yourselves, because I know I am embarrassed that I share this planet with
you!

The antiwar movement has got to feel snake-bit at this stage. The handover to Iraq govt happens a few days early. ANSWER even got countered in the leftist stronghold of San Francisco per below thread with great photos. Meanwhile, ANSWER's controllers at the Workers' World Party split in two per lower thread.
And, in Raoul's phrase, you guys give them a "Workers' World wedgie."

This is an after action report for Wednesday, June 30. The evil forces of the International Answer gathered to protest what they called the "fake turnover of Power in Iraq." Even though this happened 2 days early, they still gathered.
We met up at the Montgomery St Bart station at 4:30 pm. It was a little early for many, but those who could make it did. The army of good included some Protest Warriors, some freepers, and some Pro-Israel supporters.

It is secretly being screamed all over left circles. The Workers’ World Party (WWP) has splintered. This will have no importance in the news if it wasn’t for the fact that for a long time the WWP – a formation of about 300 militants nationwide -- allegedly dominated ANSWER, one of the main antiwar coalitions in the US.
According to unofficial reports, the entire West Coast membership of the WWP left the organization following the discussions about the Presidential ticket of the organization. According to different sources, some of those leaving the group opposed the WWP running candidates for President and Vice-President and pushed for a line of activism rather than electoralism.
They argued that the party was too small and irrelevant to play any role in the elections and that that would alienate many allies in the antiwar movement who are supporting John Kerry, the Democratic Party candidate, as the “lesser of two evils.” The WWP have fielded presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the past, gathering a handful of votes in a few states.
That "Today Show" window operation was brilliant. Keep on keepin' on Protest Warriors!
