I think Clinton would have done a much better job of fighting the war on terror than Bush.

Top pop gun?

Clinton left the Rangers out to dry in Mogadishu dimwad. He refused to send armor in support dimwad. But that didn't stop Randy Schugart and Gary Gordon from going above and beyond the call of duty. And President Clinton then failed to do his duty by cutting and running and further emboldening the jihadists.

Duty you say? Whats that? Ask Bill Clinton dimwad.

It only took about two months before I was muttering at the TV, and by fall of 93 I was in a full-blown rage.

I started to worry a bit around the time he was inaugurated, when the very first thing he did was sign that cockamamie bill about the military and gays. And like you, by that fall, I was in panic mode from what was happening.

And remember, this was in the days before FR, before Fox News, before I had even found Rush! I thought I was the only person in the world who was upset this way.

I lived in a terribly liberal part of the world, there was literally NO one who I knew who had come to that same realization. It was a pretty bad time actually.

We lived in CT at the time. No internet (for us). No Rush. No Fox. I thought I was overly worried and frank, after a few years of Clintons, started to worry about my sanity. LOL

When we moved to South Carolina, got FNC, the internet, found FR ... you don't know the relief!!! Blessed relief.

Mr. Clinton, do you realize you have about this much
credibility with the American people?

Actually, it's THIS much.

Well, looks like Top Gun got himself banned. Too bad, I really wanted to know what year he was born, and why he was having so much trouble remembering the 80s.

I'm now reading this thread and enjoying IT immensely....During the "interview" to save my sanity I "re-did" 3 houses and 1 on Curb Appeal on HGTV....any port in a storm.

BTW In hunting for the title of the Rhodes Scholar's earlier book, I finally discovered that there are 9 copies of it at Amazon for ONE CENT each. I am NOT kidding!

In case you want to take advantage of this bargain, the title is ...ta da...FROM HOPE TO HISTORY.

I will never forget finding Rush on the radio. Even more than his opinion, I was thrilled to hear people from all over the country who agreed with me.

Getting the internet, and finally Fox News, just made me the happiest person in the world. Now I have like-minded friends all over the country, and I bought stock in Fox's parent coroporation. HA!

Read Dereliction of Duty if you haven't.

So many times he did nothing. When we had fighters on the runway ready hit terrorist spots, all they needed was approval... and he did nothing!

This one was pretty sneaky, posting a dumb post, then posting an even dumber post, and an even dumber one, etc., until the Clinton was the BEST remark.

OK, back to the topic - wonder what the Nielsen was on this 60 Minutes of Lies from Bill episode?

Well, they advertized it on every single show they had on this week, so they must have been worried about the numbers.

Can't wait to see!

The First lady and I watched it. Most difficult. Interesting that i42 didn't like the nic "slick willie." I believe that originated on FR in '98. (Hehehe)

In the fwiw department, we had to take a shower after the show.

I play backgammon on the computer in between reading more comments from the live thread. That's my way of handling distressing interviews I don't REALLY want to watch (and don't typically) but want to know what happens.

Clinton rages against Dimbleby in Panorama confrontation over Lewinsky
By chris Hastings and Charles Laurence (Filed: 20/06/2004)

Bill Clinton loses his temper with David Dimbleby during a BBC television interview to be broadcast this week when he is repeatedly quizzed about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Visibly angry: Bill Clinton

The former American president, famed for his amiable disposition, becomes visibly angry and rattled, particularly when Dimbleby asks him whether his publicly declared contrition over the affair is genuine.

His outrage at the line of questioning during the 50-minute interview, to be broadcast on Panorama on Tuesday night, lasts several minutes. It is the first time that the former President has been seen to lose his temper publicly over the issue of his sexual liaisons with Ms Lewinsky.

The President initially responds to Dimbleby's questions by launching a general attack on media intrusion. When the broadcaster persists with the question of whether the politician was truly penitent, Clinton directs his anger towards Dimbleby.

David Dimbleby

The atmosphere, which was initially warm, then turns decidedly chilly. One BBC executive who has seen the interview, which took place in a New York hotel last Wednesday, said: "He is visibly angry with Dimbleby's line of questioning and some of that anger gets directed at Dimbleby himself. As outbursts go, it is not just some flash that is over in an instant. It is something substantial and sustained.

"It is memorable television which will give the public a different insight into the President's character. It will leave them wondering whether he is as contrite as he says he is about past events. Dimbleby manages to remain calm and order is eventually restored."

Mr Clinton agreed to speak to Panorama as part of the publicity campaign for his autobiography My Life.
