I explore this in great detail and the potential downside of having so many sappers already within the perimeter when the baloons go up in the Dragon's Fury Series, along with many, many other considerations (from outsourceing, to immigration, to downsizing, to Chinese control of the Panama Canal, etc.).

This is the one aspect that if we are caught by surprise, then I fear that we would be paralyzed or crippled long enough to the point where we are no longer a factor to them. Then of course if they try to foment a revolution inside this country with the mindless masses looking for anything to save their skin, it could get really ugly.

If you get the chance...you should read the series. We are knocked down hard in the first novel, as it builds towards that crushing, surprise blow...but then through the other volumes, we battle back. The tale is as much about what it will take for us as a people to do that as it is a war story.

Best Fregards.
