I think it is safe to say that Pitt believes the Homer in question is Simpson. Doh.

The last two idiots I've seen wear skirts to make a fashion statement are the lead singer, bi-/homo-sexual for REM (whatshisname) and that other clown singer for Jane's Addiction, Perry or something like that.
Mel Gibson in BRAVEHEART is exempted, of course.

But then I had marked it down as doubtful when I heard girly man was starring. What do you think of Colin Farrell as Alexander The Great? I almost cried when I heard that.
I miss the Baby Boom generation of actors. Who do we have nowadays?
And if it wasn't for "Good Will Hunting" we'd have only half the action stars we do now...

Well, what can one expect from those bereft of a classical education? And the answer is: a steaming turd of a comic book movie.
Thing is, these ignorant little faux Marxist muliti-culti girly-men couldn't even wrap their minds around some of the philosophical premises implicit in so many of the ancient Greek classics. This is where so much of our notion of the tragic view of life come from. Competely antithetical to the worldview of the likes of Pitt.
Dialtone to this steaming pile of a movie.

If Pitt's prediction takes hold among the metro's, it could add a whole new meaning to "skirt chasers"...

I felt the same way about MTV or music videos in general.
Gangsta rap has prevailed sadly.....and it's ready absorption by mostly but not exclusively lower class whites is also something I never imagined....not just the music but the lifestyle....pathetic.
I believe it was not just shower caps but surgical caps too....

Akhillius was the son of Thetis And Peleus
and so an offspring of the gods, Thetis was a Nereid
or one of the fifty daughters of Doris and Nereus.
Thetis upon the birth of Akhillius knew his fate.
Simply put, Achilleus could return to his father and die happy yet forgotten, or, he could die at Troy and be remembered forever as a hero.
She interveined on his behalf to various gods and goddesses

It is sad to contemplate that a university student of
the colonial period of perhaps 16 or 17 years old would
not only know the story but in the original greek, and
would have understood the motivations behind the gods and goddesses actions.

Here we are...guess it's still happening (from some racial discourse site I googled):
THE QUESTION:
R62: I would like to know why some black men wear a plastic shower cap (or so it appears) covering their hair.

Dennis C., 49, white, Jacksonville, FL
ANSWER 1:
There is a hairstyle called a "jheri curl" (a curly hair style) that is activated by an oil spray and a plastic cap. Just as some women wear curlers in public, some men wear the activator caps in public.

A Retrosexual knows how to tie a Windsor knot when wearing a tie - and ONLY a Windsor knot.
15 years ago, yes. Don't even own one anymore. Figured only a fool walks around with a slip knot tied around his throat.
A Retrosexual man can chop down a tree and make it land where he wants. Wherever it lands is where he damn well wanted it to land.
LOL! My brother spent a couple of years building an ultralite plane. He finally finished it and was going to take it out for a spin the next day. He and my dad decided to cut down a couple of trees on the property. First tree took out the plane. Second tree got the barn.

Well, there is this one. Yes, but that's a sanitized version of the gods. I once heard a lecture by an expert on mythology, and she compared the Hercules movie to the actual myth. It was very different, of course.
To: maxwell
Yeah, and that's a very dim view, if that's where they're coming from. I was going to blame it on production laziness, but your assessment is probably closer to home... I'm waiting for Kaballah, The Movie! That and Scientology are the only two practiced religions in Hollywood, it seems. And Scientology has already had Battlefield Earth.

LOL! Think I will give this one a miss too! Sounds like they have removed all context of the war. And who wants to see a war movie with a real war going on?

What's a double negative? Is that like the Cleveland Indians trading Manny Ramirez and Jim Thome?

Yea, kinda like that, or like "voting for something before you voted against it."
