Way to go BERLUSCONI.

I was in Naples last week for a travel convention and on the gates at the entrance to the convention center was spray painted:
"Fuck Americanism
Fuck Zionism
Fuck Militarism
No Bush
Yankee Go Home"

Sweet.

That is not surprising. The Europeans hate Bush and the war and loved Clinton. No matter how much their troops help in the coalition or get hurt or injured in Iaq they have to go back home to that filth when they return.

"I honestly did not know Italy even HAD troops in Iraq..."

You're not alone, Moose. I really think it points to the INCREDIBLY biased (or BI-ASSED) media. New Zealand has troops there, too! (Field Engineers).

BTW, what do you think of ol' Berlusconi visiting his boys DURING the action? That little guy has some serious PELOTAS!

Levante

Everyone better start reminding their coalition "pen pals" to go to the airports and welcome their rotating troops home, and stop their unwashed socialists from spitting on them upon arrival.

Please, don't insult Gomer Pyle by posting John Kerry's picture next to his.

Gomer was a patriotic Marine who knew right from wrong.

"Tuesday, fighting between Italian troops and Sadr militiamen left 15 Iraqis dead and 37 wounded."

The great untold story in this uprising is the enormous number of jihadists who have been sent to their raisins by coalition forces. The mediots are reporting the numbers, the largest rat-kill since the height of the Afghan campaign, but they aren't emphasizing it in their defeatist Tet2 analysis and editorializing.

I communicate regularly with some soldiers in Iraq. One of them said, "we are killing them like ants here in Baghdad, and that's nothing compared to Fallujah. They put on their headbands and jump out and spray their AKs; just like some goofball movie, I swear; then it's pop pop, bye-bye Abdul."

The Fallujihadis admit to 600 fatalities. Marine commanders are convinced that almost all of these are actual combatants, with the small number of civilian dead mostly people who served as human shields, voluntarily or otherwise (and where is the media emphasis on that documented atrocity?).

Holding down these civilian losses, and our own, is the primary reason for the slow deliberate pace of the operations, which the demonic Arab media and their western doper-apologist allies construe as a failure and defeat for the coalition. They are following in the footsteps of Walter Cronkite and other socialist authorities from the heyday of centralized media power, when the "most trusted man in America" used his power to turn the enormous victory of Tet68 into a cataclysmic defeat.
