Sandal whappers serenade Kerry

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is swarmed by admirers during his Tuesday appearance at Sawyer Point downtown. One of the homemade signs hoisted there read: "Outsource Bush." The Cincinnati Enquirer/STEVEN M. HERPPICH |
John Kerry had seen the tactic before - it emerged on the campaign trail last week - but few others seemed to understand what was going on.What say YOU?Young Republicans wearing cheap sandals got in the front row and started clapping them together almost as soon as the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Sawyer Point on Tuesday.
Their message: that Kerry has flip-flopped on the issues.
"There's nothing I like better than talking to a great bipartisan crowd," Kerry joked. "You want to talk about flip-flops? This president said Condoleezza Rice wasn't going to testify, and the next day, she's going to testify."
Some union workers quickly surrounded the dozen Republicans with Kerry signs. Some elbows were thrown - as were some sandals - until two Cincinnati police officers broke it up.
The Hamilton County Republican Party disavowed any knowledge of the tactic, and Rep. Rob Portman - forced to field a question about the tactic in the official Republican response - seemed befuddled by it.
"I'm not sure hitting yourself in the head with a flip-flop makes a particularly compelling case," he said...
Should we FReep John "Flip Flop" Kerry with REAL "flip flops" - all across the USA?
Pathetic Kerry Condemns "Rude" GOP Protestors April 7, 2004
-- snip --
Kerry's playbook is so old and he is so dishonest, it can be infuriating. But there's a simple way to listen to liberals without tearing your hair out, and that is this: everything liberals accuse Bush of, is what they do themselves. So when Kerry talks about the politics of lying, he's telling us what Democrats do. He's identifying his own tactics. As an example, consider Kerry's freak-out at a group of protestors waving flip-flop sandals at Kerry's Cincinnati speech.
As you can hear in the audio link below, this man who protested the Vietnam War and whose party has defined patriotism as requiring dissent, grumbled, "Obviously some young Republicans proving that they are very rude and they have no manners." Oh, the power, my friends! I am paralyzed here with how impressed I am by his retort. Why, what a way to shut them down! Not only calling them "rude" but "very rude!" This is so pathetic!

JOHN, DUBYA ARE ON THE JOBS (Flip-Flops Greet Kerry)
New York Post ^ | 4/07/04 | Brian Blomquist

April 7, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - President Bush yesterday visited Arkansas to promote his new job-training program, while John Kerry charged that Bush's jobs record is a loser.
Speaking in El Dorado, Bush said he will boost the federal job-training program from 200,000 to 400,000, and vowed to make science and math a bigger requirement in vocational schools.
"We want people prepared for the 21st century," Bush said. "There will be jobs. The question is whether there will be people there to fill those jobs."
Sen. Kerry (D-Mass.), meanwhile, campaigned in Ohio. He has repeatedly claimed he'll create 10 million new jobs if elected, and yesterday, his campaign said 417,000 of those jobs would be in Ohio.
Protesters clapping together rubber beach sandals called flip-flops, met Kerry and he scolded them, saying, "Obviously, some young Republicans are proving that they're very rude and they have no manners. They don't want to hear the truth..."What a WONDERFUL FReep idea!CLICK HERE for the rest of that threadAnd, it seems to REALLY aggravate John F-ing Kerry. :o)
Yes we should Ron!See also, from our good FRiends at www.rightstuffcomedy.com
I keep posting this on various threads, so glad you put up a thread on the subject!I do think we should be out there on the streets all across the nation protesting Kerry and Kennedy for their outrageous remarks!
(also known as www.2004flipflopkerry.com):
FReeping Kerry - all across the country - with these "Flip/Flops" **is** a GOOFY idea...
...but it seems to be WORKING!What say YOU?
Speech from this man is not free!! It is undemining the support of the troops protecting that right. FREE SPEECH - when Kerry speaks, it is not free - it costs the lives of American soldiers and has encouraged those that want to do harm to this nation.
He has more than adequate avenues to get his message out with the way the media favors these anti-american jerks.
...In the Republican stronghold of Cincinnati, Kerry touted his pledge to create 10 million new jobs if elected. His rally was interrupted by about a dozen people near the front of the crowd who shouted and clapped flip-flops above their heads - a reference to Republican claims that Kerry has changed his position on Iraq, taxes and other issues. As his supporters shouted at the protesters to go home, Kerry said they were "rude" and sought to turn the flip-flopper label back onto Bush. He said Bush had broken promises to create jobs and fund education and had changed his position on whether national security adviser Condoleezza Rice should testify before the Sept. 11 commission.
"I can run through the long list of broken promises of this president," Kerry said. "I mean, you want to talk about flips and flops."
Gather as many flip-flops as possible...
When Kerry's campaign posters and yard signs start appearing, glue flip-flops to them..
Make Kerry and Flip-Flop synonymous..
What do I think?I am concerned about THIS part:
I think it's a shame there were only a dozen of us there.I wish there had been dozens, and that they had kicked some union butt when the union thugs got nasty.
...Some union workers quickly surrounded the dozen Republicans with Kerry signs. Is there a way to do this WITHOUT engaging the "union thugs?"Some elbows were thrown - as were some sandals - until two Cincinnati police officers broke it up...
We want to get to get the maximum MEDIA exposure of Kerry's "flip flops" WITHOUT seeming too mean-spirited...HUMOR is the key to deflating JF'nK, right?
