[history]
If John Kerry had prevailed in his calls for cuts in specific defense programs 20 years ago, AH-64 Apache helicopters, made in Mesa and seen as vital in two wars, would not have been built, U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth charged Friday.

Kerry campaign spokesman Dag Vega responded, "John Kerry has always supported our troops in the field and our veterans. What he doesn't support is voting blindly for every project supported by Halliburton," a reference to the company formerly headed by Vice President Dick Cheney.Gee, I didn't know Halliburton makes Apaches....
If John Kerry had his way, we'd fight any war he couldn't run away from armed only with pea shooters and bad language.

"...voting blindly for every project supported by Halliburton"
Uh, is the Apache, Abrams, Black Hawk made by Halliburton? Is the CIA/NSA/intelligence community a subsidiary of Halliburton. I'm sorry, but I feel offended that the Kerry campaign thinks Americans so stupid to use this sort of rhetoric. This sort of nonsense more than anything else tells me that Kerry himself knows that he is weak on defense.

Here's a link to a Mark Steyn article, with
this link to a story on just what the Apache and our armed forces can do.
And John Kerry would have us and them do without.

The sad fact is this sort of stuff, repeated often enough, will have the effect they're after. You only hope that the % that buys it is relatively low.

Fortunately every freeper and lurker is well aware of Kerry's voting this crap down, but every newspaper, mag, rag, e-zine, etc., that runs with this story educates and informs the otherwise ignorant and/or alphabet channel worshipers.
Keep it comin'!

I would bet Kerry would be first in line to more heavily arm the IRS.

You know, if one of 43's spokesmen had made a nutty comment like that, the media wpuld be all over it. Here's hoping that the Halliburton crack makes it to talk radio this week. Vega and Kerry have some 'splainin' to do...

The essence of the Democraps is practicing the POLITICS of FEAR, DIVISION, and HATRED! Further, they feel absolutely no shame in telling bald face lies to do so, and will exaggerate and slander seemingly without conscience. It's more than a little troubling, and it's not just the Dems. Liberals throughout the western world behave similarly.

Maybe he had a memory problem...he surley meant Boeing, Martin Merrietta (sp?) or Lockheed. Halliburton is mostly oil...but then 'all them thar flying machine thingys need go juice to fly' and mean old Halliburton probably supplies the go juice.
