I heartily concur. I'm sick to death of the cheap, facile crud that's being passed off as entertainment these days. I'm constantly reminded of that scene in "Huckleberry Finn" where the two charlatans stage a Shakespearean tragedy that turns out to be nothing more than one of the guys clowning around on stage on all fours, naked. Hicks though they were, the people in the town who had paid their money to see it immediately knew they'd been had. Wish I could say the same for my contemporaries!
