The scum in this case are Muslim terrorists. Therefore, kill the Islamic scum is applicable.

One witness who is a German tourist said that he just sat down and began to cry after the terror attack.

Palestinian Authority says peace needs to be discussed and the cycle of violence must stop.

Israeli Army Radio: says at least 1 student was injured.

"A few months (and the US was already into Iraq), IDF took positions opposite Arafat's HQ in a building. This was following another terror attack. The US pressured Israel to remove them."

Yoni, buddy, this type of hideous crime against the innocent will stop when the House of Israel finally trusts in G-d, and decides to shoulder the repercussions of levelling Ramallah instead of enduring the murder of their own. What the US wants or doesn't want is irrelevant to that.

And we can't make the decision for them.

Let's see.

Israel will:

A) Make more empty threats.
B) Transfer Jews from Gaza.
C) Arrest a "Kahane Was Right" T-shirt vendor.
D) Alter the security barrier to please genocidal arab & muslim terrorists.
E) Release more arab and muslim terrorists from jail.
F) Move a jeep 50 meters toward the mukata.
G) Increase the number of arab MK's.
H) Clamp down on Arutz-Sheva's internet broadcasts for 'incitement.'

I agree, but I think Israel fears losing US support, especially in the UN, which without US veto could send UN peacekeepers into Israel.

anyone else think we should declare war on the middle east and be done with it

You have the order reversed. War has already been declared -- by them. The rational thing to do would be to take care of them, and when the dust settles, take care of the paperwork as a formality, if anyone really cares about it.

You don't need to declare war if the other side has already begun one against you. You do need to wage war, however.

I suspect Israel is approaching the point at which it will simply get up, dust itself off, and take care of things. Not so much out of anger, but out of simple math. Look at the rate of increase of enemy action, the timetables for enemy acquisition of WMD, and so forth, and then, act before it is too late to mount a decisive action.

I would not have too much of a smug, cocky look on my face if I was a denizen of "the arab street" right about now.

I agree, Israel wants peace, but they are NOT afraid. Once they figure out that the Arab Street that wants peace does not exist, the Arab Street will cease to exist. There is a very low current of seething Anger that is building, and when righteous men get angry and take action it will not be a bomb here and there but a complete military response that will destroy the Arabs outright.

Most Israeli's have Arab friends trapped under the Palestinian Authority, they do not want to drive them out for fear of hurting their friends. But once the Arab League gets involved, or there is a big enough terror attack that Israel gets seriously hurt, all Hell is going to break loose.

It is a ways till the man in the street tosses Sharon and the Kennest out on their rears and takes out the Arab Problem themselves, but it is no longer inconceivable. I believe that 100 angry Jewish Hasidim with handguns could route 5,000 of Arafats goons any day.

That day may come sooner than later if Sharon is not careful. The IDF can wipe out the Palestinians easily, it is the restraint of righteous men that do not hold the bulk of the populace responsible for their leaders that holds them back. But IF something happens to shake that confidence, the Arabs in Palestine will get justice in full, a thousand times more than they can handle. The longer the Arabs are not spanked, the more unruly they get.

"If I were king", I would take out Ramallah, drive them all out of the country and bulldoze it flat, and annex it. Then as the UN sh** storm develops and the next bomb goes off do it again to the next town. Every civilian target, causes a civilian town to disappear.

But I am not king, Sharon seems to think he is.

I doubt the US will do anything other than warn Israel not to hit back too hard

And what will the US do if Israel tells the Arabs, that if they want a war, they'll get a war -- and then gives it to them?

I do believe things are headed in that direction. Israel's enemies are resolute in their intention to continue ratchetting up the terror, the chaos, the death... and Israel will be faced with a decision. They will need to decide whether or not they wish to survive. It will be a costly decision either way -- for them, if they decline -- or, for their adversaries, if they decide to survive.

Unfortunately -- for Israel's adversaries -- it is rapidly coming to a binary decision. I do not expect Israel to make that decision to its own detriment. This, of course, does not bode well for the long term viability of "Arab culture" in that region.

I expect the day to come -- most likely sooner than later -- in which Israel will take decisive action. To put that into perspective, I do not believe that Israel has to date taken decisive action. Ever. I leave the results of "decisive action" as an exercise for the reader. I expect that the "global" reaction to "decisive action" will be a collective "Oh, sh..." -- followed by a rather pregnant pause, itself followed by a statement or two of measured politeness toward Israel.

Except that islam's tenets are to do exactly this kind of bombing on innocents so they can have sexual gratification in the afterlife.

Get it?

Your comment is offensive. Your comments do nothing to offer an alternative to violence and murder...

The Arabs do not want an alternative, so what are you going to do about it, throw money?

Get real, no war was stopped by paying the extortionists and killers, they always stop by killing the killers and paying the extortionists with their own blood. Peace talks always precede war, victory always precedes peace.

Israel cannot take action against the terrorists due to the pressures coming from the US, specifically, concerning the US "roadmap" to peace, especially Israel cannot take action against Arafat, due to US safety net.

There comes a time when all the BS in the world simply fades into the din, and the target of the attack picks itself up, dusts itself off, and sets off to settle the score once and for all.

Yoni, the Pastor of my church has been teaching Bible studies at the White House. He just got back from another trip there. Israel and Sharon have the political capital NOW. You KNOW what's happening in the Evangelical Christian community, TODAY. At the end of the year it just might not be there.

Sharon and Israel might be looking at another four years of Clinton/Albright coercion and threats to appease these murderers after that, and guaranteed loss of US support in the UN.
