KERRY HIT BY SEX CLAIMS

The Democrat most likely to challenge George Bush for the presidency of the United States is at the centre of an alleged sex scandal.

The website which broke the news of Bill Clinton's infidelity says married Senator John Kerry had a two-year affair with a young woman, beginning in spring 2001.

The Drudge Report, which attracts millions of readers, says the woman has recently fled the US to Africa at the prompting of Mr Kerry.

It also reports that his former rival for the Democratic nomination, General Wesley Clark, told reporters in an off-the-record conversation last week: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue."

Internet columnist Matt Drudge said three reporters could confirm the comments by former Nato Supreme Allied Commander Clark, who quit the race for the party's nomination amid poor results.

Wealthy heiress

Mr Clark has since refused to confirm his comments and has endorsed Mr Kerry's nomination.

The report also claims that Time magazine, ABC News, The Washington Post and Associated Press - where the woman in question is said to have once worked - had been investigating her relationship with Kerry for several days.

The allegations first emerged late last year when a close friend of the woman spoke to reporters, according to the report.

Decorated Vietnam veteran Mr Kerry is married to Theresa Heinz Kerry, the wealthy heiress to the food empire.

Runaway favourite

Originally from Massachusetts, he is currently the runaway favourite to win the Democratic ticket to run against President Bush in November.

He has won 12 of the 14 state primaries and caucuses held so far.

The senator is expected to defend himself against the claims on US TV later today, but has made no comment yet.

Kerry's gonna deny, say it's an attempt by Karl Rove to smear him. Second option: Admit to "personal failings" and claim it's time to move on.

You're right, and when Americans find out that every other country in the world was abuzz with this, and that the alphabet nets sat on it, they may not be amused...

And I see that SkyNews got the story straight...

The real question should be "what woman in her right mind finds this man vaguely attractive?" I sure as hell don't.

Mr Polier [Alex's father] : "I think he's a sleaze-ball."

Mrs Polier [Alex's mother] claimed Senator Kerry was "after" her daughter.

Mainstream media - Who cares about this? We have got an explosive interview that the retired cook at the chow hall where Bush was a pilot does not remember him...

What really stinks about this whole 'affair', if you'll pardon the pun, is that the mainstream media 'sits on the story' until the accused (Kerry) gets his story straight. Only then do they hand him the microphone. Then the Media can quickly return to their agenda.

They never afford Republicans the same opportunity. They report rumors first, ask serious questions (much) later (if at all), and then sit back and wait for Republican Voters to shoot the wounded.

Yep. Not to mention, this very conveniently eliminates any coverage of his associations with Jane Fonda, the red left, and unseemly connections to Torricelli, who was anything but patriotic when it came to undermining US intelligence.

Now all of that's irelevent- "it's all about sex!" Very Clintonian.

Ketchup Boy, Version 4.0

You say you served in Viet Nam,
My question is which side?
You pulled ahead in Iowa,
Hope you enjoy the ride.
Dean is toast and some dropped out,
But you don’t have a chance.
Even if you get to run,
We will not let you dance.
The democrats might pick you,
To lead their commie band.
But we will fight to keep you out,
You must not lead this land.

.....Admit to "personal failings" and claim it's time to move on..........

Can't do that when you got a wife with $500 million, and a sharp butched knife.

Maybe he should hire Jack Welsh as a consultant. He did a great job of parting with $500 million! LOL

The liberal mainstream media has ignored the story thus far (hoping, no doubt, it just goes away). So Kerry appearing on "US TV" to answer the allegations is highly unlikely ... since none have been levelled by the mainstream media. Who, at present, are focused on events surrounding Bush's supposed AWOL status 30 years ago while in Alabama.

Let's talk about the AWOL issue. The press needs to demand exact dates and details as proof that Kerry was not AWOL from his marriage.

With Wesley Clark's comment thrown into the mix and some serious news hounds on the hunt for more on the Kerry infidelity, this story will have legs.

Let's just sit back and watch the show as the media works for the good guys for once.
