For the fifth straight year, WND Books author the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson will host the "National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson" event in Los Angeles.

The event will take place outside Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH office at 10 a.m. Pacific time on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 19.

"Over the past 40 years, Jesse Jackson has turned Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream into a nightmare. Dr. King believed in equality for all based on moral character. Jackson lacks character, and his nightmare has been to divide the races by using race as a badge of entitlement," said Peterson, known as "the other Jesse."

According to a statement from Peterson's organization, the Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny, speakers for this year's event will include WorldNetDaily columnist Mychal Massie, columnist and activist Ron Jackson, Candice Jackson of Judicial Watch, talk-show host and WND columnist Jane Chastain, talk-show host Geoff Metcalf and Peterson.

"We believe our efforts have exposed Jackson's arrogance and exploitation of the poor. As a result, he no longer has the same control over the minds of most black Americans," said Peterson.

In Peterson's recent book, "Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America," he shows how the civil-rights establishment, led by Jackson, has made a lucrative career out of keeping racial strife alive in America.

He reveals how establishment black leaders endlessly promise solutions to the problems of America's inner cities, but deliver only ineffective Band-Aids. From the dismal failure of the welfare system, to the farce of the slavery-reparations movement, to the problems within black churches and the hypocrisy and corruption of current black "leaders," Peterson argues compellingly that the real crisis we face is spiritual, and that no economic solution will suffice.

Reparations lecturer sparks heated debate

Collegian Staff Writer
Last night, tears and angry words marked the justifications and rationalizations presented in the lecture "Stop Reparations Now!" by the Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson.

About 40 students sat in the auditorium in Hosler Building to hear the lecture, sponsored by the College Republicans, on a topic centuries older than themselves.

Peterson is the author of the book From Rage to Responsibility and has made guest appearances on many television shows to publicize his negative views on civil rights groups such as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as well as his open criticism of the Reverend Jesse Jackson as being "a racist demagogue."

"I bet you guys thought I was white when you heard him [describing] me talking about Jesse Jackson," Peterson began, taking the podium after an introduction by a member of the College Republicans.

Speaking on his childhood, growing up in Alabama with an absentee father, Peterson explained that as an adolescent, he had felt anger for his situation. He said he began to feel free of this hatred after learning to focus on religion and forgiving his parents.

Peterson's provocative comments produced scattered shocked comments by audience members.

"I think he's mistaken and narrow-minded," said Aleem Boatright (senior-nuclear engineering), a member of Penn State's Black Caucus. "He's about as close to racist as a black man could be."

Abiola Seriki (senior-English) was in tears after Peterson's presentation.

"We're in college and we're seeing that," she said, motioning to the auditorium where Peterson remained to respond to additional comments. "What's going to happen when we go out to the streets? What are we going to see there?"

Chris Miller (junior-mechanical engineering and economics) is a chairman for the College Republicans. Miller said he had heard lectures by Peterson before and felt better able to understand his position after them.

"Knowing a little background, I understand what he's been working with," he said, siting the difficulties and opposition Peterson has faced as being an African American in the conservative Republican Party.

Miller added that the idea of opening a discussion on race had motivated the group's choice to have Peterson as a speaker.

"It's a topic that's been tossed around the editorial pages and the Penn State community," he said.

BLACKS VS. JACKSON BACK BUSH ON KING’S BIRTHDAY
By J. Grant Swank, Jr.

posted Jan 16, 2004, 13:20

It all comes together. Blacks — conservative and active — rally for United States President George W. Bush and against Jesse Jackson on Martin Luther King’s Birthday, that is, the federal observance of same.

Monday, January 19 at 10 AM, they’ll meet in front of Jackson’s offices. The rally supports not only the political conservatism of Mr. Bush but also the biblical message of Christ. Combining the two demands no apology from the organizers, championed by the Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, founder of the Brotherhood Order of a New Destiny (BOND), a force originated especially to combat Jesse Jackson’s liberal agenda.

Mychal Massie will be a highlight speaker at the rally. In his address, Massie proclaims: "When you look at the spiritual landscape of America, what has 'The Reverend Jackson' done to further the kingdom of God? What has he done to lead people, starting with his own children, into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ? Under what circumstances could a young minister turn to Jesse Jackson for advice? Or should I rather ask, 'Why would a young minister turn to Reverend Jackson for advice?'"

On Martin Luther King’s actual birthday, January 15, Mr. Bush spoke at King’s gravesite, midst boos from some black onlookers. The liberal press accented the opposition’s presence, particularly as Mr. Bush laid a wreath alongside the tombstone. Mrs. King stood nearby.

Newscasts reported that Mr. Bush had not been invited by the King family to take part in the remembrance but when he communicated with Mrs. King, relating his wishes, she complied. In other words, the liberal press would have the public believe that the American black community is — in the majority — anti-Bush.

This of course, if true, is no fault of Mr. Bush. It is that Democrats have brainwashed the black community — not all, but some — against Mr. Bush, beginning with the Florida ballot count at the last national election. That in itself is an indictment on those who permitted the demagogues to twist reality against Mr. Bush.

Nevertheless, there are those blacks who see truth; their representation will gather Monday for the California rally. The occasion traditionally is labeled "National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson."

Rally organizers contend that Jackson is not fit for public example — political or religious — because of "his comments against the Bush Administration’s war on terrorism, his corporate shakedowns that benefit his own political groups and his past adulterous affair that resulted in the birth of a child out of wedlock."

Black Conservatives to Repudiate Jesse Jackson's Activities at MLK Day Rally

Event to Take Place in Los Angeles on January 19

Project 21 members are organizing and taking part in a "National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson" that will be highlighted with a rally outside of Jackson's Los Angeles offices (1968 West Adams Boulevard) on Monday, January 19 from 10am until noon (Pacific time).

This annual repudiation of Jackson's activities and his right to be considered a reliable representative of the thoughts and aspirations of black Americans, now in its fifth year, is timed to coincide with the federal observance of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Brotherhood Order of a New Destiny (BOND), which was founded and is led by Project 21 member Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, organizes the event. The stated goal of the "National Day of Repudiation of Jesse Jackson" is "to show the contrast between MLK's dream and Jesse Jackson's nightmare." Among the cited criticisms of Jackson are his comments against the Bush Administration's war on terrorism, his corporate shakedowns that benefit his own political groups and his past adulterous affair that resulted in the birth of a child out of wedlock.

Project 21 member Mychal Massie is a featured speaker at the rally. In his prepared remarks, Massie says: "When you look at the spiritual landscape of America, what has 'The Reverend Jackson' done to further the kingdom of God? What has he done to lead people, starting with his own children, into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ? Under what circumstances could a young minister turn to Jesse Jackson for advice? Hey, Jim - Someone at the Associated Press is reading your home page!

From www.mercurynews.com

News in brief from the San Joaquin Valley
Associated Press

-- snip --

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - The city of Fresno agreed to settle a suit by the conservative online group Free Republic, paying $60,000 and retracting a news release that said the organization was a "hate group."

City attorney Hilda Cantu said on Monday the city settled to avoid the expense of litigation, but Former Human Relations Commission Chairwoman Debbie Reyes, who sent out the news release in September, said the city should have "stuck it out and fought it."

Fresno resident and Free Republic founder Jim Robinson said he filed the suit to get the city to recognize its mistake.

"I think it's unfortunate the city did not retract and apologize immediately after they knew they were in the wrong," Robinson said.

The release warned residents that Free Republic was planning a picnic in the popular Woodward Park, and that "information on this group's website clearly indicates threats of violence toward any minority groups that interfere with their rally or picnic."

The group promotes events like an annual "Repudiation of Jesse Jackson" day, and has between 50 and 100 members in the San Joaquin Valley.

Thanks.

This Bush is the man that the NAALCP ran that ad about during the 2000 election. It all but said that George W. Bush was driving the truck that led to the decapitation dragging death of James Byrd a couple of years before. The reality was that 2 of the three involved in that awful act received the death penalty, the third got life in prison. It boils my blood to no end that the NAACP can get away with that and that the Liberal media can slant their bias at an event such as this !!:

On Martin Luther King’s actual birthday, January 15, Mr. Bush spoke at King’s gravesite, midst boos from some black onlookers. The liberal press accented the opposition’s presence, particularly as Mr. Bush laid a wreath alongside the tombstone. Mrs. King stood nearby.

Newscasts reported that Mr. Bush had not been invited by the King family to take part in the remembrance but when he communicated with Mrs. King, relating his wishes, she complied.
