Thanks for posting this. My late parents were able to visit there, and were smitten with the place. I have many photos that they took there. Such an amazing place.

My wife and I toured Petra onour Israel trip in 2000. There was a Lot of walking in Petrs, certainly more than can comfortably be done in one day if one was to see everything.
Our feet were killing us at the end of the day and we still had to traverse the Siq to get back, We wound up taking a donkey cart at the outrageous rate of $35.00.
Everything was expensive there, especially the transportation because they knew a person had no choice.
