DNC looking for your sob story (it's all Bush's fault!)

NOW IS THE CHANCE FOR YOU TO SPEAK OUT

In just a few days, Bush will give his State of the Union address, where he'll distort his record to paint the best picture he can for his reelection campaign.

But we know the real story.

Help us tell the real state of America's working families. Tell us your story about how your family, your neighbors, and your community have felt the sting of Bush's policies. Have you:

* Lost your job or seen local businesses forced to lay workers off? * Seen healthcare costs skyrocket? * Seen important services cut by state or local government? * Been forced to pay higher college tuition?

Click the link below to tell us your story and we'll publish a compilation of the best ones on the web in a special report detailing the real state of America's working families.

http://mailer.democrats.org/rdr/002NT071Sd0001D

We'll publish the stories anonymously and share them with Democratic leaders in Congress for use on the House and Senate floor during debates. Send your story today!

And be sure to click the link below to tell your friends or forward them this message!

Yeah, I got this, too.

Wah.

It's all Bush's fault. Or Ashcroft's. Or maybe Dan Quayle's.

Should be: We'll publish the LIES (so the conservatives can not verify them) anonymously and share them with Democratic leaders in Congress.

In the past year, I've changed careers, had a 50% increase in salary, bought a new SUV, and bought a house. I would say "Thank you Pres. Bush", but he didn't do it for me.
Like you, Dutch Boy, I busted my hump.
All of this whining by the Dems is sooo non-value added.

I think I'll send in my story.

If I win do I get to be one of those dorky people who stand in the background during a press conference?

I had to choose between giving up my cell phone or eating dogfood! Waaaaaah!

How about, "My small advertising business' gross sales were cut in half shortly after 9-11, but now are starting to recover. Let's get a Democrat in there to raise taxes and ignore our national defense again!"

This could actually be a really great opportunity for a practical joke. Some FReepers should come up with a real tear-jerker about, say, having to shoot and eat your dog in order to get by because you lost your job because of Bush's economic policy, or something even more outrageous.

Then submit it and see if it comes up in someone's speech.

I have to pick up soda cans for recycling change in order to get by.

No, wait... that's been done already, and it doesn't even cover the cost of fuel for my RV.

GWB has made my life a living hell! Tyrone, my transexual lover and "life" mate left me when we could get a marriage license. Then I was bitten by a rabid wolf that Bush had transplanted here in New Mexico. That was bad enough but when they strip searched me on my recent flight to France I was caught with drug and sexual contraband "inside" my body! Why you would have thought I was a terrorist!

Just to spite Bush I took my measly $300 tax refund and sent it the ELF so they could continue to blow up science labs and SUV's. I guess investing my entire portfolio in Enron wasn't the smartest thing to do, but how did I know Bush was behind the scenes secretly making millions!

My lesbian sister was sent to Afghanistan but was court-martialed and sent to prison for trying to frag her platoon leader. All Bush's fault!

Can I blame Bush for making my car insurance rates go down and my real estate taxes go up? I know I can blame him for the 10 lbs. I gained!

I tried to post my story with them, but they
demanded my Democrat friends' e-mail addresses.
None of the Democrat friends I know have
computers or e-mail addresses. They are in a fix
at the DNC. Their constituency is waiting for
them to supply free computers.

What a bunch of morons at the DNC.

If you are in such dire straits and are just getting by, why would you have a computer?

Wouldn't you sell it to buy a couple of cases of Alpo?

That Is Just Wrong
written by Saturday Night Live writers

Al Gore: Jim, I'd like to interrupt here and answer that question as if it were my turn to speak. Jim, let me tell about a friend of mine. (Gore holds up a picture of an elderly woman) Her name is Etta Munsen. She's 94, she's a widow living on Social Security in Sparta, Tennessee. Etta was born with only one kidney. She also suffers from polio, spinal menengitis, lung, liver, and pancreatic cancer, an enlarged heart, diabetes, and a rare form of styctic acne. Now, several recent strokes, along with an unfortunate shark attack, have left her paralyzed and missing her right leg under the knee. Just last week she woke from a coma to find that, due to a hospital mix-up, her left arm had been amputated, infected with syphillis, and then reattached. As you can imagine, Jim, Etta's prescription drug bills are staggering. They run to nearly $113 million a day! And she tells me that some weeks she has to choose between eating and treating her Lyme Disease. Now, under my plan, Etta's prescription drugs would be covered. Under my opponent's plan, her house would be burned to the ground. And that is wrong. That is just wrong!

How about this one?

Dear DNC:

Thank you for giving the opportunity to speak my mind.

I lost my job this past year. When Clinton was president, I worked in a prosperous enterprise. But in the last year, we had to close our operations. We simply could not compete with foreign labor.

This foreign labor worked for low pay under very bad conditions. They worked very long shifts, and many even died on the job. This competition could hardly be called "fair." I was forced out of the place where I had worked for 34 years. Not a single government program was there to help me. How can Bush call himself "compassionate?"

Far worse, I lost two of my sons in Bush's evil war in Iraq. They gave their lives for their country, and for what? So that Bush's oil buddies can get rich. My pain of losing my sons is indescribable.

While it is trivial next to the loss of my sons, I regret to say that I also lost my home. I simply had nothing left. How can Bush call himself a Christian when he neglects people like me? I am a senior citizen with various medical problems. I'm not in a position where I can begin a new career.

I was reduced to the point where I had to live in a hole in a ground, all because of President Bush. And when the authorities found me there, did they have any compassion for my misfortune and ailments? No, I was arrested. Mr. Bush, I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a compassionate man! I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you a Christian!

If I had any money left, I would donate it to the Democratic party. If Al Gore had been elected in 2000, I guarantee I would still have a job, a home, and most importantly, my dear sons!

Regards,

Saddam Hussein
