You might want to get a new recoil spring. A weak one might be causing it to sling brass into the next zip code.

ps - you might want to try new ejectors on the AKs with stovepipe problems.

whoa! that's a blast from the past. I built a brass-catcher for my bullpup, thanks.
I've fired a few more AKs, and the Saiga-12, subsequent to this thread.
they all have slung brass in the same direction, and with comparable force.
I suspect it is just the nature of the breed.
