She can’t control her streets from rioters but she can use taxpayer money to paint a slogan on the street to the White House.

This message in yellow paint spans two blocks on 16th Street to the White House.

Alex Leary ✔ @learyreports 16th Street leading to White House is painted with giant yellow letters spelling Black Lives Matter.

CNN reported:

“The painting of 16th St with “BLACK LIVES MATTER” is an effort not only blessed by Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser but initiated by her,” said the mayor’s spokeswoman LaToya Foster to CNN.

I wonder what the mayor’s budget authority for that stunt was.

That area is covered by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts.
Did she get her approvals?

Another very good reason why DC should NEVER become a state. Just think of what their two Senate seats would be like.

Agreed. Move the seat of government to the middle of America and leave Washington DC descend into the ghetto where it belongs.

I’m sure she’s posted a double guard to prevent “Black” from being replaced by “All”.

Wow, this is getting dangerously out of control.

And I’m sure that is exactly what THEY want.

Folks, the DNC and progressive left know that polling is showing them losing massive amounts of political control in November. They have decided upon a scorched earth plan.

I know what he means but aren’t we the most disadvantaged as we elected a President whom the enemy within has been obstructing?

Now our cities are being ravaged while they blame us and the president they’ve obstructed

I wish some local farmers would
‘accidentally” spread Septic Tank contents all over that
BLM mural. Followed by stormy weather.

Time to move the government out of DC.

Ugh. What city wants an influx of Fed Gov workers, who are overwhelmingly Leftist Democrats?

I have a better idea: end home rule in DC. Revoke the charter that granted the city the right to elect their own government. Let the Secretary of the Navy have responsibility for governing the city.

DC only got home rule in 1973, and they are like kids who have shown they can't be trusted to stay home alone by holding a huge rowdy party and wrecking the furniture.

WIKIPEDIA: District of Columbia home rule District of Columbia home rule is District of Columbia residents' ability to govern their local affairs. As the federal capital, the constitution grants the United States Congress exclusive jurisdiction over the District in "all cases whatsoever".

At certain times, and presently since 1973, Congress has allowed certain powers of government to be carried out by locally elected officials. However, Congress maintains the power to overturn local laws and exercises greater oversight of the city than exists for any U.S. state. Furthermore, the District's elected government exists at the pleasure of Congress and could theoretically be revoked at any time.

It belongs to US. It doesn't belong to THEM. Those are OUR monuments, OUR statues, OUR historic buildings, OUR museums. If they can't take care of it properly (The DC elected politicians) they should be replaced with people who can by the Congress.

End Home Rule of D.C.
