Sorry to hear about the loss of you and the Mrs.’s extremities. I’ll pray the Lord fills your lives with dignified pursuits such as what you’re doing here for FR viewers and pray that each day will bring you rich rewards in helping others in other ways as well.

What’s the status on POTUS’s Vet initiative to have Vets go directly to private clinics? I could check by looking to read up on it but it would be good to hear firsthand from yourself, if you’re getting any material informing you of private VA options.

As you know we love our Vets but the VA health system is in the view of myself and many others a fatally flawed working model for healthcare, nothing to do with the VA employees but the system design and operation always lags like a low bandwidth router. Its bureaucratic controls will forever keep it from keeping up with the private sector. Its like comparing dial-up to 5G and will always be orders of magnitude behind standards established in private care models. The Doctors are good, the Nurses are good, nothing wrong there, and technology is helping to process and track records, but the system accountability and focus is oriented in ways that keep it unresponsive unless its hierarchy gets involved and then it’s here and there, hit and miss.

And you know I am an honorably discharged Vet. Believe me if I thought there was hope for the VA health system, I would be one of its biggest cheerleaders.

My idea of putting the VA Health Administration (VHA) down is to fund the transfer of its employees to the private sector while preserving their govt retirement benefits. Private clinics would basically get VA employees for free for say 3 to 5 years and retrain (with reimbursements or tax credits) and integrate them to private care.

The VA’s other components, the Veteran’s Benefits Administration (VBA), the National Cemetery Administration (NCA), and the VA Central Office (VACO) would transition with the dissolution of the VHA. The VBA and VACO could oversee the reimbursements to private care systems for veteran care and for tracking services to Vets, the NCA would remain as it is now, the VA Cabinet post would remain in place as the President always has need for direct communication to a Secretary that is devoted to Vets only.

I am only 3.9 miles away from a large VA Regional Campus but most Vets are like 40 to 75 miles out and the employees commute an hour to an hour and half to get to work. Vets could go a few miles to a private clinic in their area and VA employees in transition could commute maybe at most 15 minutes.

The VA health model doesn’t work and doesn’t make sense practically or philosophically.

Parscales (sp?) is using these rallies strategically to gather data on Trump supporters for later. As he says ,polls don’t matter but getting supporters to the polls in 2020 does.
