I read that, and thought "Ah...they get it."
What they DO NOT "get" is that this is exactly how they view it (Obama: "Elections have consequences" and "I won.") and that is exactly how they governed, in mostly unpopular and unconstitutional ways. They even went so far as to change the rules on judiciary confirmations, even against the heartfelt advice of Mitch McConnell who pleaded with them not to change it because they wouldn't be in power forever, but...they changed the rules anyway.
So, to the Left:
Choke on it. Eat what you have sown until you gag. We will fill up your plate again.
I most certainly don't care what non-conservatives think (though I do give consideration to some Libertarian views).
I have given much thought to my Conservative views because as Conservatives, we don't have a choice...we are forced to examine, re-examine, and defend our points of view, and I feel that they can withstand scrutiny. As part of this, over the years, I have thought "Could I be wrong? Am I blinded by ideology?" and in that process of introspection, examined Leftist views and found them wanting. Leftists are never forced to examine, re-examine, or defend their points of view (except through catastrophic defeat, and even then they do not repudiate them) mostly because their Leftist views cannot withstand logical scrutiny. They lack introspection, and if they were actually forced to examine their own views non-emotionally, they could not stand up.
Leftism is based on faulty premises. For too long, we have allowed them to build giant edifices on top of those fundamentally flawed foundations, and they have taken full advantage of that leniency (foolishness).
So, I do not care what Leftists think, and I care even less what Vox thinks. They had an article last week that I took exception with (GOP nervous ahead of Kavanaugh vote: We dont have 50 right now) because it was from Axios...a hack leftist site, whose sole purpose leading up to the vote was to sow uncertainty, prop up Leftists, and discourage conservatives. Of course it was hot air.
What I really wanted to say was: “Hey Leftists, how does our *** taste now?” but the non-profane version just didn’t get the point across...
Agree. In 2010, they said give us the House and we’ll turn things around. We did. In 2012, they said give us the Senate and we’ll turn things around. We did. In 2016, they said give us the Presidency and we’ll turn things around. We did. And what have they done?
Nothing.
Trump has done it on his own. If the GOP doesn’t grow a pair soon and show us they understand how to USE power, then it’s time to create a third part that will use it. Until the GOP shows some guts, I’m done with those spineless wonders.
Great post.
At this point, it’s rediculous to assume that Kavanaugh is conservative. But their assumption is that any nomination from Trump is basically evil and they are irrational.
Every word that you said is correct with Tobasco sauce. We must fight them at every turn over every subject.
What did Genghis Khan finish up with about the greatest pleasure when conquering your enemies? Something about the lamentations of their women. Boy, have heard plenty of those.
