As to the bold emphasis I chose to highlight, it is projection of the Left, pure and simple.
To Dylan Scott, the equal passion from the other side simply do not exist. Women, yes even sexual assault victims, support Kavanaugh; 60% polled want Kavanaugh confirmed if the FBI clears Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct allegations, etc. etc.
So Scott accused GOP of this - "This is the governing ideology of the Republican Party: We dont care what anybody else thinks.", yet he's doing it himself.
After 8 years of Obama and his inept criminal administration, yes. I dont care what the left thinks and you did NOT win the argument.
That is one very large bucket of horse manure parading as an article. Complete propaganda piece aimed towards low thinkers.
I read that, and thought "Ah...they get it."
What they DO NOT "get" is that this is exactly how they view it (Obama: "Elections have consequences" and "I won.") and that is exactly how they governed, in mostly unpopular and unconstitutional ways. They even went so far as to change the rules on judiciary confirmations, even against the heartfelt advice of Mitch McConnell who pleaded with them not to change it because they wouldn't be in power forever, but...they changed the rules anyway.
So, to the Left:
Choke on it. Eat what you have sown until you gag. We will fill up your plate again.
I most certainly don't care what non-conservatives think (though I do give consideration to some Libertarian views).
I have given much thought to my Conservative views because as Conservatives, we don't have a choice...we are forced to examine, re-examine, and defend our points of view, and I feel that they can withstand scrutiny. As part of this, over the years, I have thought "Could I be wrong? Am I blinded by ideology?" and in that process of introspection, examined Leftist views and found them wanting. Leftists are never forced to examine, re-examine, or defend their points of view (except through catastrophic defeat, and even then they do not repudiate them) mostly because their Leftist views cannot withstand logical scrutiny. They lack introspection, and if they were actually forced to examine their own views non-emotionally, they could not stand up.
Leftism is based on faulty premises. For too long, we have allowed them to build giant edifices on top of those fundamentally flawed foundations, and they have taken full advantage of that leniency (foolishness).
So, I do not care what Leftists think, and I care even less what Vox thinks. They had an article last week that I took exception with (GOP nervous ahead of Kavanaugh vote: We dont have 50 right now) because it was from Axios...a hack leftist site, whose sole purpose leading up to the vote was to sow uncertainty, prop up Leftists, and discourage conservatives. Of course it was hot air.
I care how liberals think.
That is how I beat them because they involve their feelings too much and their argument and logic inevitably falls apart. Then all they can do is to react with their out of control feelings, ad hom attack, and rage.
But I really don’t care what liberals feel, other than the pure entertainment aspects of course...
We MIGHT care what the left thinks......
If they were CAPABLE of thought.....
But then, if they were capable of thought, they wouldn’t be leftists.
The left operates on emotion bolstered by ignorance.
‘Cause I aint got nobody
nobody nobody cares for me
I’m so sad and lonely
sad and lonely sad and lonely
Won’t some sweet mama
come and take a chance with me
cause I aint so bad
- David Lee Roth
Democrats don’t want you to think. Republicans don’t care what you think, but don’t want you to emote.
Vox is a pox.
“This is the governing ideology of the Republican Party: We dont care what anybody else thinks. We have the power. We have the will. We have the votes. Well do what we want.”
They finally get it! Add: “We have God on our side.”
“Republicans lost the argument, but they ultimately had the votes.”
Getting the votes = winning the argument.
Anyone remember the last time the GOP was accused of this? Me neither.
We care what others think. But we don’t care what people say without evidence.
We don’t care about what you say if you are saying it because you feel emotion contrary to, or in the absence of, actual facts.
How many people appointed to the Supreme Court recently can most people name?
Everybody knows Clarence Thomas, and RBG is getting a lot of play now, as is Merritt Garland, who didn't get confirmed, but I suspect the others are just a blur to most people (as they are to me).
Ultimately, we are going to have to kill these crazy people or banish them from remaining in the country.
Thats the trajectory we are on.
Hmmm... My thesaurus lists "debate" as a possible synonym for "argument".
As I recall, the Senate concluded their last 30 hours of debate by taking a vote. And if I am not mistaken, the winners of the debate, that is, the argument, were the supporters of Kavanaugh.
