When you say, “delivered by the same folks who gave us alcohol prohibition”, is that your slick way of trying to discredit age of consent laws? Plus, why would you find them the least bit problematic unless you were a Muslim, NAMBLA member, or other assorted cretin?

If that's slick, then reality is slick. I think age of consent ought to be set at puberty, which is where it's been for most of American history. The real question is this - why do you hate the Bible? Do you think self-proclaimed 19th century reformers trump the revealed truth of the Bible? Or are they simply false latter-day prophets claiming a higher truth other than what was revealed to the prophets in the Bible? What are you - a Mormon?
