Summed it up very well.
Stop with the Legacy Media crap. i”m sick of seeing and hearing that. They are corrupt dinosaurs with no moral compass.
Legacy Media is a title of their own creation.
I call them “al.commie”. They are terribly biased & don’t have a clue about the south. Must be all the northern journalists they imported.
People near me, in Central Alabama, are SICK of the media's lies, and will vote for Moore NO MATTER WHAT unproven accusations the media is pumping.
And there's this: if Roy Moore is ejected from the Senate because of this bilge, the people of Alabama will finally see the truth: Washington doesn't really want us, and America is no longer a country. The "united" will be divided.
Long live Alabama, and long live the South!
Right on. I am PROUD to be a transplant Alabamian. "We Dare Defend Our Rights."
Check your FReepmail, neighbor.
You're describing the thoughts of this Alabamian.
Delaware...age of consent was 7 in 1880.
I hope you are joking. That is Muhammed territory.
Up until the late 19th century, when the Christian Women's Temperance Union (CWTU) got it raised (followed by alcohol and drug prohibition in the 1910's), the rough age of puberty was the traditional age of consent. Delaware was an outlier in setting that age at 7.
Age of Consent Laws [Table]
Annotation
Information on the ages used historically in western age of consent laws is not readily available. This table has been compiled from a combination of historical and contemporary sources. By 1880, the first date chosen, many western nations had established an age of consent for the first time, typically of 12 or 13 years. By 1920, when the influence of reform campaigns that established a new link between the age of consent and prostitution had run its course, most had revised their age upward, to 14 or 15 in European nations, and 16 in the Anglo-American world. In the last decades of the 20th century, states and nations with ages below those averages amended their laws to move closer to them. In Europe that growing conformity owed much to moves toward greater European integration. Given that the rationale for the age of consent has remained essentially unchanged in its emphasis on the need to protect 'immature' children, the table highlights the shifting and various definitions of childhood employed across time and cultures.

That is sick, that the age of consent in so many states was ten!!!! Just think of grown men having intercourse with a tiny prepubertal 10year old! How wrong is that?!?
Interesting stuff! Poor guy couldn’t catch a break at the end. And nobody condemns the Huron for driving the Siouxian tribes from their ancestral lands in the Ohio Valley, just the paleface who came later.
