For many Democrats, the multiple investigations into Russia's influence on the 2016 presidential election seem front and center on their minds, if not daily, pretty close.
But not everyone feels that way.
Lindsay Maizland of Vox News in D.C., saw that firsthand recently when she returned to her hometown of Linden, a rural little town between Flint and Detroit, and interviewed people there and in the neighboring community of Argentine Township. She reports:
Nearly every single person I spoke with said the same thing: The media just needs to leave Trump alone, and the Russia investigation is a distraction.
I'm tired of hearing about the Russia thing. Let it go and move on. The media is the one that's propagating it. They just won't let it die, area resident Nancy Androsky told her.
The residents say they are more concerned about Trump's campaign promises to build a stronger military, restrict immigration and create jobs for middle-class Americans, Maizland finds. They want to give Trump a chance.
Military veteran Rich Marshbanks, owner of Snippers Barber Shop on Broad Street in Linden, offers opinions reflective of the community.
"What do I think about the Russia-Trump issues? I think it's never been proven that he had anything to do with Russia whatsoever. But the liberal left will not leave it alone. They're trying to destroy him.
"The media, the fake news, anything they can come up with, they're trying to destroy him. They're looking for anything they can do to discredit him and boot him out. And I think that's a shame.
"I think Trump will be a lot better than our previous president. I think he's going to get things done. I think he's basically a good man. His heart's in the right place."
LOL...when you’ve lost towns between Flint and Detroit....you know it’s time to hang up your Russia fake news lies.
The American people can see he is a good man and they are getting annoyed
I thought the number 1 issue up that way would be Flint’s water and how Trump was going to get it fixed.
Probably, they are beginning to realize that Hillary and the DNC were the ones courting Russia, so it’s time to bury the story
Well duh. When I rarely run into a leftist, I blame Russia for my aches and pains and smile.
Where’s The Beef?
No details —>Fake Inyourendo.
I’m sore tired of this...
The prospect of Trump being a better president, and by contrast, proving to the world what a pathetic failure Obama was, scares the left more than anything else.
They know that if Trump is successful, it will demonstrate to the American people just how vacuous and empty the entire left wing agenda is. He is literally the most dangerous threat they have ever faced.
Yes that is Seriously how they see it, if they do not win this one they know he will triumph and they are so through that is why they cannot drop it, It is do or die for them,
The left doesnt like anything Trump does, because they are INCAPABLE of doing what he has, and they know it. Which is why they hate him from their inner being.
This is all the prep work from the usual suspects.
WHEN actual crime(s) of Hillary and/or Clinton Foundation colluding with foreign entities hit the fan, people will just lump them together with the Trump-Russia red herring.
Media and Lib operatives do things with a purpose. We all need to keep that in mind.
The Media nor the Democrats can let the Hillary loss go. They are too infected with hatred. Like cancer if not treated early hate is fatal. CNN is in its death throws and yet they cannot let the Clinton loss go. Democrats are losing ground at an alarming pace and like the media, hate is consuming them
The liberals are ticked that we truth-seekers would not let go of Benghazi. In their warped minds they saw us as continually bringing up a fake issue, which we all know was a criminal act and cover-up.
It's a lot more than two cities in Michigan that are tired of hearing about Trump and Russia.
