President Donald Trump said he hopes House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi does not step down from her post.
In an appearance on "Fox & Friends" that aired on Friday, Trump said he would like Pelosi to stay right where she is because she has an "extraordinary record against her."
"It would be a very, very sad day for Republicans if she steps down. I would be very disappointed if she did," Trump said.
The comment came after some Democrats on Thursday called for Pelosi to step down in the wake of special election losses this year, including a high-profile race in Georgia on Tuesday.
Republican Karen Handel beat Democrat Jon Ossoff in the race for the Georgia seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, dashing Democratic hopes to pull off an upset in the runup to the 2018 midterm elections.
The two campaigns and outside groups supporting and opposing the candidates shelled out at least $36 million, including more than $22 million from Ossoff's campaign.
Pelosi, speaking to reporters on Thursday, said she's confident she has the support in her caucus.

The demodummies are desperately seeking a scape goat to hang the blame on their loss to Trump. So far they haven’t found one particular individual because there is the entire party to choose from. They picked a loser by selecting Hitlary as their candidate and fail to attack her because the Clintons know how to deal with people who attack them. They fail to look in the mirror.
President Trump, the ultimate troll. It is nice to have a real man leading the fight instead of being betrayed by the so-called conservative Pied Pipers. We all know that conservatives, especially the New England pukes, intend to lose.
The “conservatives” have conserved nothing for Americans. All they ever man to do is freeze the last damages and outrages into place until the leftists come into power again.
President Trump is really fun to watch in action. Now he has thrown in some chum to create a frenzy among the sharks, maybe some will injure each other...popcorn???

Sometimes, in a moment of masochism, I”ll listen to Erickson on WSB-Atlanta. It can be painful, at times. But, one thing I cannot understand is why he and some others, on the Right, want to try and explain why the Left is losing elections and what they have to do to turn it around.
I know why he does it. Because he’s a blowhard, know-it-all, who wants to tell the world that he’s smarter than everyone else.
But, why would you try to explain their failures? Why would you try to analyze them and perhaps, give some advice on how to turn things around? Let them fail. Let them implode. Let them eat each other alive. I DO NOT CARE. The more they lose, the better it is for anyone with some sense. There’s always a chance that one of them could be listening and take some of that advice. And who knows, actually win. Then what?
Keep Pelosi. Keep Schumer. Keep Franken. Keep Gillibrand. Keep Warren. Keep them all. Let them drive each other further and further to the stratosphere of the Left, wherever that is and let them keep going.
It seems that for decades the dem leadership happily and knowingly lied to their base, but as of late it seems that they have started to believe their own lies. While they used to pay lip service to “equality for all” they selected their leadership based on merit and effectiveness. Such would seem to no longer be the case.
That does it..if Trump wants her there she HAS to go as they have to “resist” Trump at every turn.
She’s way too arrogant to step down.

I think he does it because he REALLY wants the rats to succeed. He was a never trumper, and if he’s repented of that, I’ve not heard about it.
His voice makes me cringe. But for me, the best(worst) part is, he always talks about being an, election lawyer. WTF is that? And I love(hate) how condescending he gets when someone brings up voter fraud, as if he’s the ONLY person on the planet that knows anything about it. Because, you know, he’s an election lawyer.
Hard to believe me earns a check with his drivel.
I like her where she is, but it’s a coin toss if she leaves her leadership roll.
It’s possible that her replacement would help improve the dems’ image. It’s more likely that her replacement would be worse.
But sooner or later they will get control again. I hope it’s much, much later.
This is pretty funny...no wonder liberals hate him! He not only doesn’t play along like RINOs do, but goes out of his way to poke them in the eye in a very public way!

Trump gets it. Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee and a number of others are also valuable assets to their party.
No other person on our side... I REPEAT no other person can say what he says. I love it!
Jeb, Lil’ Marco, etc. would all be meeting with their staff to concoct the perfect response if they were asked about Pelosi. Trump not only responds, but it’s so profound it’s scary.
Many of us here have been saying the same thing today. It cracks me up that he said it.
