THEY GOT NOTHIN’
The recent testimonies of James Comey and Jeff Sessions would appear to have put to rest much of the suspicions of “collusion” and “obstruction of justice” that have been passionately pursued by the leftards in the Congress, the Lame Stream Media, Facebook, etc.
In the nine months they have been investigating these issues, I have no doubt that, in their desperate anti-Trump zeal, they have frantically looked under every rock on this planet and have found absolutely nothing!!
Considering the daily postings of fake, fictitious and bald-faced mendacious “news” items based on leaked information from anonymous (or imaginary) sources, if they actually had uncovered real, verifiable evidence it would have been plastered across every billboard in the land and skywriters would have filled the heavens with it!
Obviously, THEY GOT NOTHIN’!!
But, even after such Democratic luminaries as Chris Matthews, Dianne Feinstein, Senator Joe Manchin, Steny Hoyer, Maxine Waters, Jeffrey Toobin, James Clapper, et al, have had to admit that there is no “there” there, the investigations, fake news and assorted demonstrations of Democratic desperation will continue! As Rush would say, “Don’t doubt me!”
The Dimms are confident that the effort required to respond to these endless, inconsequential and, for the most part, FAKE news stories will keep the Trump team occupied and unable to give their full attention to healthcare, tax reform, jobs, and so many other vital issues that the American voters elected Donald Trump to provide for them.
If “The Donald” succeeds, the Dimms know they will be in deep, deep doo-doo. If, however, they can initiate any kind of trumped-up (no pun intended) impeachment proceedings, or otherwise delegitimize the Trump presidency, they could get another shot at some kind of relevance. It’s a “go for broke” proposition for them and they (and anyone with a functioning brain) know it!
Not only will the investigations, fake news, etc., continue, as the evidence of progress of Trump successes multiply, the madness, hate and desperation fueling same will escalate!! To quote one of my favorite political soothsayers, “There are no depths to which they will not sink, in order to achieve their goal! They have no standards. They have no decency. They have no class.”
On a related subject:
It is said that “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
Well, I came across a picture that has to be worth at least fifteen hundred words, or more!
I don’t know how to post a picture on FP, so I’ll try to describe it verbally. It may have been taken in the Oval Office, and there are three readily recognizable gentlemen standing there, each smiling like cats that had eaten a whole squadron of canaries! Stage left is the recently fired, disgruntled and very tall, ex-Director of the FBI, James Comey. Stage right is Barack Obama. Slightly upstage would be newly-appointed Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
The obvious missing link to this gleesome threesome would of course be Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General. With the addition of Mr. Rosenstein, they would thence become the Fearsome Foursome that have joined forces to bring the presidency of Donald Trump to an end.
Think of it: Mr. Rosenstein sends a letter to Trump detailing the reasons that Mr. Comey should be fired. Almost immediately after Mr. Trump follows this directive, Mr. Rosenstein appoints Mr. Mueller to investigate the firing of Mr. Comey. Mr. Obama, who still lives in D.C., near enough to conduct his shadow government, would appear to have given his blessing on this entire production of political Kabuki Theater.
This convoluted quagmire is but a small part of the massive swamp that President Donald J. Trump has vowed to drain!!
In spite of the overwhelming forces on the left, the Lame Stream Media, and, sadly, EVEN MEMBERS OF HIS OWN PARTY, that have assembled to prevent him from achieving this monumental goal, I think he will do it!
One burning question: what part of you is NOT anti-lib and why?

I’m hoping that this whole sick process makes President Trump understand more deeply that liberalism is a cancerous scourge and that he becomes more constitutionally conservative.
He seems conservative from a pragmatic level, but he needs to embrace the Coolidge/Reagan level to truly drain the swamp.

Consider this. What if:
1. Sessions and Trump (and Rosenstein and Mueller) have completely infused the justice department with a serious-as-a-heart-attack “no leaks” policy, with the threat of certain and immediate prison time. It hangs over everyone there. Everyone affected know they will set an example when it finally happens. That includes the entire Congress, and their aids, secretaries, janitors, etc., every last one of them. Even good guy reporters. The fear of God has been put into everyone, therefore, they are not leaking about it, and will not.
2. Comey and his sycophants are (still) planting “anonymous” stories, from outside the justice department, and the msm still eats it up. Podesta, Sid Vicious, Lynch, Comey, Brennan, any and all. Backed by their entire army of flying monkeys. MSM calls some of them “officials” but they no longer are. But they are all coming from outside the Department of Justice!
3. The email stating Lynch made assurances she would shut down the Hillary investigation is real, and Sessions has it. There is another one planted as a diversion that is BS, that has been debunked, but even Comey said recently the real one exists. The fake one is a diversion to prevent keep people away from looking behind that curtain.
4. Comey is under investigation for both leaking and obstruction of justice. He may have been given partial immunity already in exchange for spilling the beans on Lynch. Hence his incriminating-but-not-incriminating remarks recently about Lynch—queasy feeling...not leaking, but showing he has flipped sides—publicly. He will take the 5th if questioned (again) by Congress.
5. Rosenstein, Mueller, Sessions, are conducting a tightly held top secret investigation. Perhaps assembling a topgun team of handpicked leak-proof patriots. Many may be democrats. So when charges come, nobody can point to a stacked deck.
What would all that look like to us mere mortals outside the loop? What would it look like if such an investigation was already underway?
EXACTLY what it looks like right now. Complete Silence. No leaks about it. Trump out of the loop.
If it were already underway, the only hope of the criminal cabal being investigated (and all that it implies and leads to) is that it somehow gets shut down. Primary: Get rid of Meuller, Rosenstein, and Sessions, in that order.
Secondary: NO LEAKS about it! That's right, the evil doers would be even more afraid of leaks than the good guys. If word got out, we would be cheering, and Mueller, Rosenstein and Sessions would become fire proof.
Third: Keep sowing more fake news to stoke doubts about Mueller, Rosenstein, and Sessions, so calls come out from the Republicans to fire them all. Blow massive amounts of smoke day and night to inflame and confuse in a fake grass roots effort to get everyone to say with the same voice, “Shut it down!”
It would all look to us EXACTLY like what is happening right now.

Even as a Trump skeptic I can see there is nothing “there.” It’s all smoke and mirrors, without the smoke and mirrors. The only thing that is keeping this alive is Trump’s juvenile behavior, but to act demure and simply say, “There is nothing there. Case closed. No further comment,” is beyond him. But he has no impulse control and his Gotham Grifter ego demands that he make himself the enter of attention, which might eventually bite him in the nether regions. Just shut up already, Mr. President, and pretend to be presidential.
My only problem with your analysis is that it’s the traditional Republican office holder approach, and the last one to fall victim to it was Dubya.
Rising above it is the typical GOP Inc playbook, and it never really works.

We’ve got to remember that Donald Trump spent his entire adult life as a businessman. It’s good business to try to please all the people all the time, and you don’t look too closely at a person’s political leanings while you endeavor to make the sale. If he had to contribute to the campaign of someone we would not approve of, he might have been “feathering the nest” for a future business deal. Now that he has witnessed, first hand, the sliminess of politics, I don’t think he’ll need any lessons on conservatism.

Dubya fell victim to his own liberalism, as I believe will Trump. If you want to drain the DC/Uniparty swamp, do it! But it requires more than simply insulting people, it requires an army of personnel, which in my observation is Trump’s greatest shortcoming. Unfortunately Trump is such a creature of the cult of personality he will not make appointments unless he knows the nominee is personally loyal to him above all else, hence 90% of the army he could have in place to work alongside him is not in place to fight the regulative State. The roster of holdover Obamaites is breathtaking, all because Trump is either too lazy or misguided to have fired them all on the first day and put new appointees in office.
I want office holders to not only fight ruthlessly against the collectivist totalitarian cultural marxists, but also FOR liberty, free markets, and Constitutionality. When Trump does this, I celebrate loudly, when he does not I criticize equally loudly.
I did not want Dubya to “be above it all” and I do not want Trump to behave like a pubescent. I want(ed) both of them to follow the ideals of the Founders and lead us to ever greatness. They both had/have the ability, just not the commitment and courage.

Nice theory but decades of republican history suggests it’s not going to get results.
